Hi,

I've just bought a Hauppauge PVR150 MCE and already have a Pinnacle PCTV100i, is it possible to use both in MP? One for viewing and one for recording?

Thanks a lot.

you can use multiple tuners. It's pretty easy. You don't have to select one for recording only. They can both record at the same time if you want.

If you have two digital cards then you will have to mod Win XP to work properly, but if you already have MCE then it will work straight away. Do a search for the multi tuner patch if you want more info.

    Marcusb,

Could you please eleborate on the 2 digital cards and the changes you have to make in XP? I already have a FireDTV and I'm considering to buy a second one (great hardware!!)

    Here's the [thread=6344]thread[/thread].

    Here's the instructions:

    a. Reboot into Safe Mode
    i. As the computer restarts but before Windows launches, press F8.
ii. Use the arrow keys to highlight the Safe Mode option, and then press ENTER.

    a. Update PsisDecd.dll and mpeg2data.ax (to version 6.5.2710.2732) :
    i. From C:\Windows search for PsisDecd.dll - should be in \Windows\Driver Cache\i386
ii. Rename the original file by adding “.old†to the end of the name
iii. Copy PsisDecd.dll file to the directory where the original was stored.
    iv. From C:\Windows search for mpeg2data.ax - should be in \Windows\ System32
    v. Rename the original file by adding “.old†to the end of the name
vi. Copy mpeg2data.ax file to the directory where the original was stored.
vii. Register – from a Command prompt, execute regsvr32 mpeg2data.ax
viii. Check with Radlight (called “MPEG-2 Sections & Tablesâ€)

    b. Reboot into normal mode

    Which worked fine for me....

    Here's the patch.

The reason I was thinking I needed more RAM is that TV now seems to be HiDef and so the files have grown. I edit the files before storing them, to reduce some size. It is finding that slower, I think. Or it could just be because I'm expecting more? The Baseboard manufacturer says ASUSTech Computer Inc; Baseboard product P7P55D-E...

I currently have two Quatros running, one connect, one duo using OTA antennae, mostly UHF fringe area, mostly cat5 local network. Hauppauge card retired long ago. I have also retired very early SD units, the Quatros seem to work much better than the older units. Go to SD's support website and download and install the windows...

4.5 is really old. I'm not sure 4.5.5 even is a version that actually existed. You should be able to install .NET Framework 4.8.0 on Windows 7 SP1

I note that you are using MP2. The following applies to MP1, but I think that MP2 is identical in this situation. "TV Server Config" has a "TV Mapping" panel in the "TV Channels" section. On the "TV Mapping" tab: The left column lists the channels that have not yet been mapped to the TV tuner identified by the drop-down menu just...
