I don't know if this belongs here or not but I thought I would mention this here, I was messing around on Ebay earlier today looking for a cheap copy of XP media center so I typed in "Windows XP Media Center" and only a few PX Media Center discs popped up but there were about 30 more that were Media Portal the guy was selling them for $1.00 and like $6 for shipping how unreal is that? thats bs its open source software for crying out around

Yep, they are legally allowed to do that. There's a news post about it on the main page a while back.

I don't mind so much if they are value adding. But 99.9% of those sort of eBay sellers are just burning a CD. Big deal.

And they're deliberately deceptive. They add all sorts of words into the name of the product, like "Windows XP Media Portal Edition" and stuff like that ...

It's disappointing, but there's nothing we can do about it...
