Updated Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller etc... drivers.

MP live tv playback is now buttery smooth on server machine. DPC Latency Checker is barely registering. No spikes.

So... Thought the problem has been solved. However, checked live TV on the client machine. No luck. It's still having problems (with buffering on E: drive).

Here's were it stands after the driver update...

Live TV Buffer and Recorded TV folder on the E: drive:

Server MP Live TV - Smooth/Excellent
Server MP Record TV and playback - Smooth/Excellent

Client PC MP Live TV - Stutters/Glitches
Client PC MP Record TV and playback - Smooth/Excellent

Live TV Buffer set to C: drive:

Client PC MP Live TV - now Smooth/Excellent

No latency issues in any of the above scenarios were reported by either DPC Latency Checker or LatencyMon.

So I guess I don't understand why that in every case the E: drive (with updated USB 3.0 drivers installed) works fine except for live TV on the client.

Yeah, I wouldn't say it is perfect but I do think it looks better. Please try increasing the buffer setting on the client. I think Owlsroost recommends up to 2000 ms if necessary. @Owlsroost your input would be welcome. :)

As previously mentioned: BufferingDelayInMilliSeconds. It is a registry setting for TsReader which I'm saying you should tweak on the client.

Do a search for that with regedit?

You could try, but AFAIK it doesn't exist unless you create it. That is why I linked to the post which explains where the setting should be. ;)

Now I suspect (read: hope) what we'll see is buffer issues, indicating the client is not receiving data fast enough. This might be solved by increasing BufferingDelayInMilliSeconds. Refer to:

I found it in the registry without adding it. Do I need a reboot after I set it?
