Okay, then I think you need somebody who is more of an expert than me with TsReader.
I still find it really interesting that it is enough to move the timeshift files on the server...

Owlsroost is the expert. Already tagged him a few posts back. He's based in Europe so is almost certainly still asleep. He may also be away on holidays. Not sure.

For now, the last thing I'd suggest you do is post fresh client and server log files with the buffer set to 2000 ms.

Ok... I'll do that tomorrow... For right now I got another internal hard drive available. I'll probably install it and set live TV buffering to use it and see what happens. Also... probably move the pagefile to it as well...

ok... will package them up....[DOUBLEPOST=1389236680][/DOUBLEPOST]Here are the logs

These look like the 'server' logs to me (TsReader is reading from a local file) - can you post the remote client logs ? (and use the MP logs collector please, so we get a zip file with everything in it - see link in my sig below for how to do this).

Here are the logs you requested from the client machine. Note this first batch is with BufferingDelayInMilliSeconds set to 0. Also note that since messing with the BufferingDelayInMilliSeconds registry entry values, live TV has gotten much worse on the client machine even though the setting has been returned to 0.[DOUBLEPOST=1389265965][/DOUBLEPOST]Here are client machine logs with BufferingDelayInMilliSeconds set to 2000.

Changing the drive used for Live TV Buffering does have an impact.

So with the buffer set to E:\Recorded TV\MP Time Shift Buffer I have the problem. Change the buffer to C:\Users\Public\Recorded TV and the problems go away. Playback of Live TV is perfect on the client machine. C: Drive is a SSD drive. E: Drive is a 3TB Toshiba Canvio USB 3.0 external drive.

I found something similar a couple of years ago with one of the 'green' energy saving drives. Put TV recordings back on a faster 7200 rpm drive and the problems went away.

In theory all hard drives should be able to handle the throughput, but if you have glitches periodically, maybe not.

If you don't want to use the SSD for live TV, get a relatively small fast hard drive.

The setting only affects TsReader (and it's read by TsReader each time play starts) so I think that's just coincidence. The TsReader log tells you what the setting is e.g. '--- Buffering delay = 0 ms' or '--- Buffering delay = 2000 ms' if you want to check.

I'd try the 'debug' UNC paths option for TV as well to see if it works better than the default RTSP mode - see https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/tvplugin-avoiding-rtsp-in-multiseat-mode-test-plz.36735/

What you have in the client logs are typical RTSP 'lost packet' problems (which create continuity errors => stutters/corrupted video). What sort of networking are you using ?
