Can you jump forward in a video? ie. how you can move 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 3 minute etc through videos/tv shows?

Can you use the search function for any of the sites?

some sites you can skip and search, like youtube. others, not so much.

How would you jump forward in a stream which is just streamed? If your DSL is fast enough this may work. But with small bandwidth it won´t.

You can do it if you're on the site.. say YouTube, or *******.. you can just click at some point forward and it will start streaming from there.. don't see why that wouldn't work in the plugin?

Because the Webbrowser always a special plugin (mostly flashplayer) to display the video. This has functions build into it that directshow filter used for playback in MediaPortal don't have. Someone could implement this, but I haven't done anything with Directshow filters yet and that's pretty heavy stuff. But since this is an open source project feel free to go for it

It would also be possible to display the flashplayer as an overlay on top of MEdiaPortal and use that for playback, but that has many drawbacks, I didn't like.

I guess I'll have to write a wiki about this seeking topic
