I like lots of the new animations (esp. fade-to-black), but making the date do a 360* is not one of them... is this experimental? (hope it is)

No, animations are great when used conservative (its a bit like GIF animations in the good old days). I agree with you, furthermore, I am not a big fan of the zoom effect on the home screen, a fade effect would be for greater make benefit.

Ah... sorry! My bad - I'm using the MePo skins.... the B2 only has the "zoom"-effect. Thought I doublechecked it. The zoom-func. is not my cup of tee eiter, but bether than the Date-effect.

Again: Sorry for mixing things up

Yes, its only in the MePo 4:3 skin.

But I'll agree with you, the 360 is a bit over the top on an otherwise perfect skin.

It's my skin and I never made the date spin like that. I hate it. :)
It seems to be an error of some sort that happened when I installed the latest SVN. I have a fix for it on the MePo thread. Now I have to work out how it happened. Can the SVN write to the skins not contained in the installation itself or have the animation definitions changed somehow so that what was a fade (or something) now creates a spin? I don't know.

Either way, I throw my hands in the air defensively and yell... "I didn't do it."

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...
