According to the KLOSS support faq (driver tab) here you need to install the iMON software in order to get the remote to work, so I guess it is an iMON display.

You could try to contact -neo- or pako to ask them whether you need to install something extra to make it work.

Hi JoeDalton,

I've tested your plugin with my 128x64 glcd with T6963c controller but didn't get it to work. I used the same settings like in LCDHype which is working great.
I've also tested your LCD Test Programm and tried many different settings but the display shows nothing. Is your plugin properly switching between Original and Tweakers.net wiring in the Advanced tab because my glcd needs Tweakers.net wiring. This could be the mistake.

Hey Joe,

Just a quick feeback on the brand new VLSystems LIS2 support, it's looking great ! I found just one annoying glitch : when I put my HTPC to standby with MP running, when I resume, the display doesn't work anymore. I guess there's a problem with initialization of the display and I'm wondering if other displays exhibit the same behaviour. If I close and restart MP then the display works again.

Anyway a big thanks for providing support to my VFD, long life to your plugin and to MP !!!

About the hibernation problem. I have built in support for hibernation but for some reason it still doesn't work. I have a HD44780 display that doesn't work either after resuming from hibernation.

Still have to work on that one...

I'm still toying with the latest release and my LIS2 and noticed that the french characters with accents are garbled when printed on the VFD.
I know that AllenConquest made some kind of translation table to get rid of these chars, could you do the same (maybe with a xml conversion file) ?

The alphanumeric display (upper right) only has 6 digits... By default they are used to display the time, or the equalizer style (Jazz, Rock, ...).


I have the Imon driver for Kloss installed, and it works well , but not with you plugin. The imon driver I use is the one for the Kloss, not the one for Imon VFD. They are different

Anyways, i understand that with no more information you obviously cannot progress... So i'm afraid i will stay on the side of the road, looking with envy to the others happy users :shock:

Nevertheless, keep up the good work!

Very well, i have a hd44780 lcd display but i find in internet many schematics diagram for the lpt1 hardware connection. I search the correct connession pin for my lcd and MP external display via LPT Port


PS: I have installed MP 0.1.1.1 with 24.4.2005 CVS and NTPORT driver

The HD44780 driver only supports 8-bit wiring.

The correct wiring schema for your display can be found here

Use the schema on the top.
If your display has a separate line for backlight control, connect that to pin 17 of the parallel port connector.

If you already connected it to pin 14, use the alternative light mode in the advanced setup.

I was expecting this request sooner or later :wink:
I will build in support for character translation.
Maybe I can put in support for custom characters too. This way the accented characters could be displayed correctly.
