When I play a mp3 file I only get the length of the titel, but no other info Artist/Titel. (CVS 10.23.)

I've got the same "problem" dunno if it is a real problem ;-)... Is it possible to show also Artist/Title info in the LCD and not just the time played/total time???

I have an iMON vfd which works perfectly except this part.. use 2.0 RC2 CVS 20-12...

Had that problem 2.... just install a clean RC1 no CVS and set it up, afterwards you can update it to RC2 with latest CVS if you like....

Well, that is Boelshit then I would say. I just uninstalled RC1 and installed RC2 and CVS. I hope Joe Dalton is going to fix this bug so I can setup LCD-display whenever I want to.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Any suggestions to handle this problem???

reinstall RC1 + configure + upgrade to RC2 ???

Didn't work for me, neither uninstall + delete folder + new install RC1 or RC2
(incl. Setup)

everytime I get the exception above.

Display is Logitech di Novo.

Any helpfull hints?

I also tried copy & paste the ExternalDisplay.xml from a working 0.1.3.0 installation and changing from "no" to "yes" in mediaportal.xml for the parameter reflecting this plugin. Didnt work for me..

BoelShit, your approach didnt work for me either. No need to be angry...

I'm not angry :D

You did setup the LCD in the clean RC1 install? And afterwards it's possible to update to RC2 etc etc..

knutinh

You also have to install some ports, the plugin gives a popup if they aren't installed on your system.
I saw you also had a LC16m-s with the iMON vfd, did you also install the iMON drivers and is the VFD working in "Auto mode" etc?

Short summary:
I had the vfd up and running in v 0.1.3

Then I reinstalled my entire system and went for 0.2.0.0 (currently RC2). It havent worked since.

Hardware:
The VFD is up and running if I choose any other mode than "plug-in mode" it works, but of course then it will only show uninteresting iMon stuff like CPU clock. Check.

I switch the iMon driver to "plug-in mode", and the display says "plugin-mode". Then I do as said on page 24 or something, about installing empty, dummy pport dll and sys files in system32 and system32/drivers. Then I go to MPsetup, enable the ExternalDisplay plugin, click "configure" and instantly get an error message and nothing happens.

Then I try removing those files and the same happens.

Then I try copy&paste of the setup I know worked under 0.1.3.0, and then I get a different error message when clicking "configure", but still no VFD picture.

Do you know if the externaldisplay.xml fileformat changed from 0.1.3 to 0.2.0.0? Can we do a "hands-up" in here to find out if the problem only exists for USB-displays?

regards
Knut Inge
