Thanks for this great Plugin, Joe ! Without this one, I still would use TVCentral instead of Media-Portal

Anyway, is there a workaround for the LCD failure after the wakeup from Hibernate-Mode ?

With TVC is used LCD-Hype for controlling my LCD.
Before i send the PC to hibernate, i started a script, which stopped LCD Hype.
To start LCD-Hype afther wakeup, there was another script running every Minute. This one checked for the LCD-Hype Task and started it, if it was necessary.

But i dont know how to handel this Prob with Media-Portal

How did You make Your T6963C based display working?!?!?
I have a 240 x 64 T6963c based display and it's not working with the plugin, nothing is displayed!
A workaround to make display ever working it's connect the logic power supply to +5vsb.

Did you try to increase the Comm Delay settings?

For the T6963c the recommended value is 5 for textmode and 1 for graphics mode (will be supported soon;-))

Thanks for that hint, i try this one later on.
I used the configuration shown in "The Hall of Fame" from the Externaldisplay Doc´s.

Take a look at this Page and serach for " T6963C graphic LCD "

I had to switch the Backlight on even if the Display was already lighted.
Luckily I own an 240*128 Display Type.

Hi, Joe -

Any idea what might be going on w/ this error in the MeidaPortal.log? I am running w/ the Origen VFD/IRTrans display. It generates at once/sec and I start to get a pretty big file, and it seems to start affecting MP's performance.

Try renaming the externaldisplay.xml file and reconfigure the plugin for your display. Don't forget to turn on the Extensive Logging option. This will create a new (default) externaldisplay.xml file.

Then restart MP and check whether the problem still occurs. If it is gone you probably made an error customizing your file... I would like to have a copy of it then to check what goes wrong.

One problem with external display: when I in radio menu go and select one of the radio station, external display go in idle mode -> I can only the radio channel see when I extend the idle line in externaldisplay.xml

External display work fine for me, only é,á character must I translate into a,e. I cant see this special european characters, only translate help for me.

iMON VFD

Hi,

Thanks for a great plugin, it is really outstanding.

This is my first time on MP forum, so I hope I'm doing it right.

I have a iMON VFD display, and my problem is, when MP is hibernating the PC, the display is still showing MediaPortal in the first line, and the "time" the system was hibernated in the second line.
Will it be possible just to clear the display upon hibernating/suspending, or even write the time for the next scheduled autoresume (scheduled TV recording).
