LCD / GLCD alternative plugin!

Hi together,
i know that there are a lot of people out there who are waiting for the implementation of graphic-LCD support in then ExternalDisplay-Plugin.
Perhaps this is an alternative for you.

https://www.team-mediaportal.com/files/Download/Plugins/Others/C.All/

For shure this is not totaly integrated in Mediaportal and needs an external LCD-Program. But this saves a lot of work for HDWagner so that he can more fokus on the data link and doesn`t have to think about the different displays. The first version of this plugin was for Meedio that is now in Yahoo`s hands.
2 years ago I created this screen on my KS0108 128x64GLCD with LCDHype (only created with LCDHype no other Plugin). I hope I can use the new plugin for linking to MP.

This is not a call for all the people to switch over to C.All.
You made an amazing job and we are all looking forward what`s coming next!!!!

How-to use a PCI parallel port card with a display and this

    Hey people,

I am new to mediaportal and bought an accent ht-200 case together with an DFI INFINITY RS482 mainboard - which has no parallel port on-board. Therefore I bought an PCI card providing me with a parallel port and connected everything.

The card installed as LPT3, but the I/O Adress was starting at d268, selecting LPT3 in the plugin configuration brought nothing to live, still no display. I reconfigured the PCI card to be known as LPT1 and changed the setting in the plugin again: Nothing.

So I made a search for words in the externaldisplay.xml config file, searching for "378" which is the I/O range for LPT1 in general. I replaced it with "d268", saved the file and it worked flawlessly.

To avoid using this a small textbox in the configuration window of the plugin would be quite charming, displaying the default I/O port of each LPT, but giving you the chance to edit it directly on the config window.

Nice plugin nevertheless, thanks Mr. Dalton ;)

    Best regards,
    sol

I am considering a new display for my lc16m as it is nearly impossible to read the letters from a distance. VFDs are expensive...

BTW, what is the simplest way of making MP/external display trigger a simple red LED (for recording indication)?
