First of all, :D for this great plugin. It's things like this that make Media Portal the ultimate HTPC platform by a large margin.

Now on to my question, sorry for bugging you in my first post, but I have searched and there is nowhere else to turn to.

I have an LC16 case with iMon IR/VFD display. It works with the iMon software, so there's nothing wrong with the hardware. After verifying this, I uninstalled the iMon software, the drivers are still there though.

In MP; after activating the plugin and setting to the correct display type, nothing happens :( .I tried the debug output, and that's working. Please help me to get started, i don't know how to start for solving this problem.

Many thanks, Marc

Some additional info on mu setup:
Clean WinXP install with SP2, DX9c and all necessary hardware drivers. Only iMon software and MediaPortal have been installed.

if i recall correct there are 2 drivers for imon vfd. you have to use the usb one. and you need the imon software, but choose the plugin mode.

hope i recall all this right, my imon vfd is working without problems for over a year.

Oh boy, i just found the problem, it works now.
All you newbies watch out, there's 2 iMon displays in the list of the plugin
I needed the second ons at the bottom of the list. it's called:
    "Soundgraph iMON USB Driver V1.0"

Well, if anyone finds this, it could save you a day of restless searching.

    tomtom, thanks for your help

There is a plugin update for crystalfontz 631?

Hi everybody, I read about a plugin called LCD smartie plugin but the develop is still and with the new version of MP 0.2.0.0 doesn't work.
I try with the integrated plugin in MP but I see that only the cristalfontz 634 is supported:mad:   , there is a possibility to add the support for the 631 model?!?:D :D :D :D :D :D

If you can deliver me the developers manual that contains the codes to send, I can have a look at it.

You can also search the LCDHype site. If you find a suitable driver there and copy it to the plugins\process\LCDDrivers subfolder then my plugin will recognize it.

    Disable the scroll function?
It only scrolls if the text doesn't fit your display, right?
I guess you can trick the plugin by telling it you have a wider display, but I haven't tried. Naturally you will lose the information not visible on the screen then.

    Hi,

yep, then its scrolling, but on the slow LCD it just dont look good.

Faking a very wide display could do it, i try.
Will get rid of some infos too.

I liked the screen technis from ajlcd, where i coud display different displayscreen that switch.
