Hi,

yep, then its scrolling, but on the slow LCD it just dont look good.

Faking a very wide display could do it, i try.
Will get rid of some infos too.

I liked the screen technis from ajlcd, where i coud display different displayscreen that switch.

sloty

Another option is to edit the "ExternalDisplay.xml" file. There you can specify exactly what the display will show. Make sure to save a copy of the original file just in case ;)

I have a KS0108 and notice if I try to select it from in this plugin it says "Disabled" - is this intentionally disabled by Joe or is it because something isn't installed on my system ?
On a side note I realise that at the moment this plugin doesn't fully support my screen as its purely graphic, are there any estimates on when this plugin will support text via graphics mode ?

Cheers!

It is indeed a "work in progress" ;)

Don't expect anything soon: this plugin is not the only thing I'm doing for MediaPortal. Most of the things I'm currently working on are "behind the scenes"...

    Osraqm Pictiva

    Hi JoeDalton!

I'm quite new to this forum...
I've read the need for ssupport for an Osram Pictiva Display.
Normally this is just a serial display to be connected to a COM-port or a virtual USB-COM-Connection. It uses a SSD1303 (aka SED1303) for dissplay driving.
I'm quite experienced with using this controller and able to give you even c++ routines for writing/reading commands and data to it.

It would be great if I could help you to add support for this display to your plugin, so that i can use it wwith MediaPortal.

Please PM me for the datasheets and routines!

    Thanks in advance,
    tRAcE :D

I have a Futaba VFD M402SD06GJ, but this don't work with the futaba plugin. I have only a black screen. I had took the hd447xxx plugin (sorry i have forgotten the name) an i see letters on my screen, but this always scrolling and never centered in the vfd field. In the XML file in the Mediaportal-folder stand centered.

    Hi,
I have done some searching in the forum, but i havent found a solution here to my problem so here goes.
I have an IMON USB display in my Silverstone LC11M case. When the power management plugin brings the htpc to standby the display remains on. Is there a way to correct this?
Normal use and coming out of Standby the display reacts really fast. So its working much better than the imon software. Great plugin!

JoeDalton, could you answer a quick question for me - Is there any ETA for Graphic LCD Support (Even in beta form)?
As I'm finding C.All a real pain in the butt to configure... so if your plugin is going to have graphic support any time soon I'm thinking I won't bother with C.All and just wait..

    Thanks!
