Hm - I'm missing the ambibox logfile - any idea where it shoudl be located?

Not sure if it has debug options with logging, normally they would it in their own program folder or c:\programdata\<program / devevloper name>

Hyperion supports all FastLED hardware (including WS2812) if you use a Arduino as go between which is part of my guide
Also APA102 so would be a great alternative to any Ambibox / lightpack setup

They now have a workaround for it but not sure if that will work right all the time, according to the info Adafruit gave me last year is that the hardware simple isn't made for it:

Would avoid it tbh as the Arduino offloads it better and is actually meant for it, this way you don't have to miss-use hardware

It can be done just wouldn't advice it to anyone as it's still using hardware the way it wasn't intended to be used

Just noticed this project in the thread there:

Pretty cool and uses AdaLight protocol to tunnel it from Hyperion.
Still have multi-Hyperion server support for AtmoLight on my to-do list so guess that is coming sooner than expected

Yeah looks laggy in the video, not sure if its his code or just too low baud rate but everything is fixable
With AtmoLight it would work like this:

AtmoLight --> Hyperion server #1 - TV ambilight (current)
AtmoLight --> Hyperion server #2 -> backend server (AdaZones) -> COM port -> lamps (NEW zones)

AdaZones is missing key documentation so will have to wait for the complete picture.

ok - did a reinstall comin from 2.1.6 and now it writes a log - but not much in it (even on Detail level). The good thing - the lag is now gone. The Badf thing - it seems as if MP disconnects and reconnectes immediatly ever - hm - 3 Minutes -

The Mediaportal-error.log shows that AmbiBox drops the connection:

Believe another user had that same problem but it seemed to happen at random times without any way to determine why, @Lightning303 might know more about this as he created the handler
