Added more log (based on V179), it seems that it can take 2 minutes to finish madVR destructor (C++) sometimes !!!!
Or maybe something need to be done to accelerate it (like ctrl+alt+del or something else).
I wasn't able to reproduce it but still !!!!

Did you try the ctrl+alt+del for ex and/or let for at least 2 minutes to see if it unfreeze ?
Did it happen always ? and if yes i would be able to reproduce it too lol (so if you can try v179 + dshowhelper (more log) to try to see where it get stuck along with madvr freeze reports )
see screen in htpc.log no way to unfreeze^^

I have try on singleseat and no issue
But i can tune only IPTV on singleseat, i didn't have DVB-S there, my card are on server2012.
So i have done this :
Tune CH1 and stop
Tune CH2 and stop
Tune CH1 to CH2 to CH3 etc. and stop.

thanks, but i had no luck
first i tried a recording with tv already on -mepo close itself
so zap from tuner to tuner -freeze until i accelerate it with win startmenu or win screenshot
and only recordings -on the first run i have no control until i accelerate it again with some input, so the rc works again and the following recordings runs ok
damn s***, i will try again tonight or tomorrow, i have to see (nagging kids)
gonna revert a bit back to v166 for the tv usage

v178:- TV lockup on stop problem still there but seems much harder to reproduce, in earlier versions it failed regularly every 3-4 open TV stop playback, now just a single failure in more than 10 attempts, after it failed I waited ca. 5 mins but still the same till I did ctrl+alt+del and started Task Manager then working MP is shown in the background.
OV seem to have exactly the same problem, hanging MP on vid. startup.
v179 with 1st Dshowhelper. I have not been able to reproduce the TV stop problem after many attempts (it seems to come back much snappier than before), looking good.
Tried starting an OV vid 3-4 times, no hang on start but MP crashed on stop every time, looks like a 100% hard failure, logs attached., No problem with EVR.
