    I got the TV working... Not sure what changed because I did not do anything outside the norm.
    Anyways, I have a channel running on the Client only machine (Sylvester) and timeshifting on the server is working as expected.
    8:30pm now... Will see where we are in the A.M.

    From your logs, it seems that it use Microsoft and ffdshow,, i think it will not working corretly with madVR and can explain blackscreen also be sure to have the correct tsreader.ax, full installer didn't replace it it existing (bug in NSIS installer)
    I will look at the codex for TV....
    As for the tsreader, this was a first install with V185 so whatever was installed with it is what is being used.

    Ok :)
    It can be because of the codec and tsreader didn't return back the callback but not sure :)

    @joecrow has madVR at
    C:\Program Files\Madvr

    The forum for madVR has the following and I have to ask if this might be part of why some have issues and others don't
    Install madVR into a location with write permission (not Program Files). It will install a settings.bin in the installation folder.

    Well spotted, thanks for that. I have now re-installed madvr in a new folder c:\Madvr but sadly it has not changed either of my problems at all:(. I will also try it on my data disc later along with v186.
    BTW madvr is also installed in Program Files on my desktop PC where neither problem can be reprooduced, so not sure how significant the install location really is.:unsure:

    UPDATE:-

    v186, no difference from v 183 as far as I can tell. TV still gets a stuck screen sometimes on stop (1st Freeze report) and OV hangs MP on vid start (sorry not our std. vid this time but??).
    Also noticed a further problem (was also on v183). I like to have madvr restore the refresh rate on player close, my default being 50hz which means the menu navigation remains smooth, this works fine untill I play 3D on closing the playback the refresh rate remains at 23hz and even after playing 50hz TV gets set back to 23hz again, i.e. 3D sets the default to 23hz. Playing 2D 23hz vids does not cause a problem madvr restores to 50hz. This problem seems to happen regardless of the 3D settings under Rendering in madvr.
    All 3 problems are included in the attached logs, 2nd freeze report is for bthe OV/MP hang.

    P.S. Madvr is now installed on my data disc E:

    Thanks @joecrow

    About TV get stuck, does ALT+ENTER or creating the freeze reports recover it ?
    About OV, i can confirm it dedalock in the same as before, i'm in contact with madshi and georgius and ope for a solution, it seems that after a pause, a run command is send but it didn't let time to have the pause correctly set and then the deadlock (hard freeze occurs).
    About the refresh rate, does it happen also with MPC-HC ? (surely not but who knows lol)

    :p

    I have something that i don't understand is : D3D: OnFormClosing()
    Did you try to close something by yourself ? (in your last log around 10 sec after)

    Code:
    [2016-09-07 09:56:37,267] [Log    ] [MPMain   ] [DEBUG] - VMR9Helper: Playing -> Repainting, Frames 50
    [2016-09-07 09:57:19,984] [Log    ] [MPMain   ] [DEBUG] - Main: WM_SYSCOMMAND (SC_CLOSE)
    [2016-09-07 09:57:19,989] [Log    ] [MPMain   ] [DEBUG] - D3D: OnFormClosing()

    alt+enter and crtl+g (freeze report) do not change anything, only crtl+alt+del then select Task Manager and MP shows in the background no longer stuck.:(
    Tried 3D with MPC-HC and it does reset the refresh rate back to 50hz but only on full exit from MPC-HC not on close of player, also the same after playing 2D 23hz..;)

    @joecrow did you try without MPAR (and use direct sound) ?

    TV was already set to Default Direct Sound Device BUT dat da dat da NO Failures in OV so far since changing it to that for everything else.:p:p:p:p(y)(y)(y)(y)(y) Well Done, thanks. Progress

    Hmm, Sorry I really don't remember:oops:.

    Regarding the TV I had a real hard time trying to reproduce the original problem, kept getting all sorts of funny things going on including multiple errors (see screenshot), black screens with audio and playback but not fullscreen (std. mini TV with menu) and hung (with vid and audio playing). see attached logs. This only seems to happen if I go straight to TV after an MP start, if I play anything else first TV works OK (with intermittent stuck screen on stopof course ). TV is now very clunky on start, there is a lot of flashing going on the mini screen shows briefly the audio starts, then pauses (thats when the errors happened) then starts again and shortly after comes fullscreen video.o_O

    Maybe TeamViewer try ? :)

    So Fork has a different MPAR version, it can explain why when using the fork build it was working :)
    So maybe a setting in MPAR or MPAR itself trigger something.

    I will upload my version and you can retry with it (just mpar.ax) :p
