I disabled MadVR, enabled DRC on MP again.
Below the results.


No issues here. everything smooth. Did a dvd, various other files. Cant find anything wrong. No black screen in any situation.
This is all done with this installer:
MediaPortalSetup_1.15.100-903-g547fa37_(MP1-4781V4_madVR_based_master_branch)_for_TESTING_ONLY_2017-03-20-20-00

It is concerning DaWonky is having an issue. Might be a quirk, but if its not....

it looks good on your screens but to be safe ^^ u need to play something definitely not 25p before the bad file... thanks for testing.

I'll try evr again tomorrow as well...

OK I will give the new v295 core a try but have no idea about graphstudio, have downloaded and installed it but have yet to figure out how to operate, any hints would be welcome.

I have unpack graphstudio in : D:\Utils\Graphstudio
We need to register the proppage.dll, to do this :
You need to open a command prompt with admin right and type the command :
regsvr32 proppage.dll (in D:\Utils\Graphstudio path) or this : regsvr32 "D:\Utils\Graphstudio\proppage.dll"
Then when playing something on MP, you start graphstudio and do ctrl+g (to connect to a remote graph) and you will see all directshow codec in the graph
