on my systems when use madvr, deinterlacing setting in LAV are simply ignored and not applied, just if i activate deinterlacing in madvr i got tv deinterlaced (i suppose by internal deinterlacing madvr routines).
They are ignored if you do CUVID or DXVA decoding, but if you do software decoding, it WILL use the software deinterlace settings if you choose them. You can confirm this by looking at madVR stats, it will say deinterlacing off (upstream) for interlaced content, but the content is still being deinterlaced. Switch to a hardware decoder and that will change to 'on'. As I said, I think PQ is better than hardware decoding, but that might be my card.
