    Code:
    Application: MediaPortal.exe
    Framework Version: v4.0.30319
    Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
    Exception Info: System.AccessViolationException
       at Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.Surface.Dispose()
       at Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.Surface.Finalize()

    Good that always the same issue, can it be related to DXVA Native (D3D9 or D3D11) ?

    Hi Sebastiii,

    with v430 I had already 2 crashes after starting a mkv with AVR on and DRR. Unfortunately I don't have a log for the first one. I got a madvr crash window. For the second, I have the log attached.

    Regards
    Markus

    Hi, with EVR I had no real crash. With DRR sometimes the behavoiur is quite strange. I can see the Windows desktop flickering and then the video starts. Logs are attached.

    regards
    Markus

    Hi :)
    I have maybe an idea, the new option for blackscreen is maybe not enable and then the fix is not handled :p
    Will look at your last log to confirm it :p

    Ok the option is enable, so something wrong happen :( the flickering is the workaround to fix the blackscreen, it's the flickering we can see when the option is ON on HTPC that doesn't need the fix like mine lol.

    @Freuli
    Can you test all files one by one and tell if one of them works ?

    With madVR :
    Option FCU ON
    Option FCU OFF
    DRR ON
    DRR OFF

    Ofc you can try EVR to see if there is a diff :p
    Thanks.

    Maybe, I was using the D3D11 hardware decoder in LAV up until I reinstalled the 0.70.02 released version some while back, which does not have it, I then used DXVA Native. Both these decoders will play the 4K/HDR demos that I use in the test suite, with DXVA Copy-back I get only audio with a black screen or extreme video stutter. CP is OK for everything else including the 4K Elysium demo so could try for a crash with it if you want me too.
    Let me know if you have something for me to test and how.:p
    UPDATE:-
    I gave DXVA-Copy Back a try and quite quickly got a Madvr crash, while playing a vid, it happened when in Windowed mode I double clicked the Madvr icon on the task bar to bring up the settings, coincidence???. I did get the setting menu and the vid continued playing but with the Madvr crash notification on screen, strange. Crash report and logs are attached.
