Best way to start always is to take i.e. Blue3wide and start to modify screen by screen (gfx and xml's).

That way you will convert it step by step to the skin you want to create.
I think that noone starts a skin from scratch (just in case that this is what you thought :) )

I already use a modified b2w/b3w for a couple of years now. The designs I showed here were just the latest updates of that modification. The reason why i need xml help is because otherwise it will never be really finished. And that would be a shame.

Ncoh and I agreed to take this project on and thus eventually there will be a public version (i hope). But dont count on anytime soon. :D

    Nice!

I suggest to use a svn project if you work together on the skin, that way it is very easy for multiple ppl to work together. :)

This looks very promising! Welcome to the world of skinning! Hope to see your skin soon! If you need some hints, don´t bother to contact me!
BTW: I would like to use your MP logo in my skins. Would that be possible?

    Thanks for the great replies.
If only there was someone who wants to join me and take away all the xml stuff. If I do it all by myself it will take ages to complete this skin.
And I am not able to make it as professional as it could be. I'm just a designer with very, very, very, very poor xml skills.

    wow -

the ScreenShots @ the first page are realy good -
strait and fine - no "bling-bling" specials (i love that style)

    @ joostzilla

hmm too bad that u are far away in the netherlands ...
    - would be a pleasure to help u by the XML-Files
(if u like the way i coordinate the buttons and grafics in my skin)
but i think such design questions (and there will be a lot of questions while the development)
are sometimes hard to clear and disscus over the net/WWW ....

hm but maybe u think in other ways .... :)
    my problem was/is that i often have no grafics / buttons - hover's ...
and my own photoshop competence is real lousy ... :(
(thats why i "borrow" lots of grafics from others in my dark-essentials skin ... ;) )

    ...
(but i think i am not so bad in XML ;).. )

    Hi joostzilla!

This skin looks great: It's an "easy to read" eye candy. I can't wait to see the first release. Hopefully the release happens quite soon.

    Regards,

    Thanks for the offer Polarie,
But I already made up a team. NcoH, PileHave and I joined forces.
They program the skin and I do the designs. So I hope it will doable over the internet.

    regards, Joost
