Re: Maya: Beta release 06-02-10

Just tried it out and I had no problem yet, with the exception that the program confirmed deleting an object with a textbox in a language I don't know what it could be.

And finally there is a clock! Great stuff! Now I don't need to turn my head to the right to see the time.

Re: Maya: Beta release 06-02-10

The file that stores the data is called MayaSkin.xml and you will find in your mediaportal directory where you will also find your skins. That file should be all right, if you think it is allright and Maya still doesn't show it just attach that file here and I will have a look on it.

By the way: I am always getting problems with the MayaBasicHome plugin if I use it more than once for initial configuration. Once I open it up again and edit stuff it will tell me that there has been an error and the specific xml is all messed up after that so I went over to configure it right out of the xml.

I have the same experience, editing the xml was easier since the plugin messes up occasionally such as when moving fields up and down.
Furthermore I also have the problem described by olavm, but only when I boot MP with any other skin than Maya (and then switch to Maya during runtime), if I boot it with maya then all is fine.
Finally a last small issue with 5 submenu items defined. This works in almost all cases except when the item that is selected at startup has 5 subitems and you go into the subitems directly after start. The items will show but the bottom most item is not reachable.

To avoid unneccesery load when using a skin other than Maya, the BasicHome plugin is only activated on MP startup, if the skin is Maya. Selecting another skin in the GUI cannot start the plugin, which means that BasicHome and other stuff won't work.

I have fixed the issue with item #5 in the skin in SVN 236, and I added a newer version of the plugin that should work better when adding/removing/sorting items in BasicHome.

Give it a spin and let me know if it works :)

Thanks, answered my questions and solves the problem with 5 sub items. Haven't tested the plugin/editor yet.
:D and keep up the good work!

Just downloaded the SVN and I've noticed that the button highlights are different, any reason for the change? I kind of liked the old ones better :p

    I've attached 2 Images.

On the first one you can see my Miniguide with the latest SVN...
The red Box shows the Space where the Title is shown. As you can see it looks out of the black box!
Also how can i get such a miniguide like "kjd01" with Informations about the next/upcomming TV Shows?

The Second image shows some small graphical bugs in the playlist view!

    Greetz,

The first problem is something I hope to fix soon.

The second problem should now be fixed in SVN 238 :)

Definitely the best skin ive tried so far, and ive tried many.

Only problem i have with it is the lack of the Topbar, as i use the MX Air as my remote i have limited buttons and on other skins use the topbar buttons to control video.

I also _always_ have N/A at the first item on the weatherscreen. :/

By the way, any perspective on the releaseplan? Don't bother to give me a date since that'd be too specific to say I guess, but what's your idea in general as a team considering the upcoming Mediaportal 1.1 release? Is there a plan to have a somewhat stable (perhaps a featurefreeze?) version out in line with MP1.1? That'd be guessing that MP1.1 is to be released around perhaps April or early May this year.

I got that N/A isuue only sometimes, but I guess those times overweigh the other ones.
