no write up that i found, the way i came across it reskinning was because i had the similar problems as described above the last time a new control was added.

Here's a short explaination of what i found (this is off the top of my head, and i'm using a cvs build from 5/19)...go into references.xml and there are two new sets of code. (EDIT, i mostly edited the playlistcontrol, then copied the settings to playlistbutton. I'm not sure if playlistbutton does anything yet) In the cvs version i had, they weren't indented as far as the rest of the code enough so they were easy to find.

There are a handful of graphic files that go along with it. They all begin with playlist_xxxx. and can be found in the bluetwo skin. There three graphic files associated with each up, down and "x": focused, no_focus and dimmed. Haven't noticed a use for the dimmed yet. Ther are two other for the background of each line in the list: focus and no_focus. The difference between these files and the regular list control background files is that even tho the images are the same width, the last 78 pixels of the image empty. Working on a 16x9 skin, i needed to resize those files, and reposition the up, down and x arrows in the xml.

so far it seems to only be used in the mymusic section, id 53 near the end of the file. Checked the myvideoplaylist, nothing new. yet

I've been working on skin documentation and wasn't very far from being finished...its going to a bit longer now that i have to add a section for this new control.

I'm almost done with the graphic flles, anybody who wants a more polished version, download the skin on monday morning, it should be the updated version.

Boilermaker - Thanks for providing that info, I'm sure other skin authors will find it helpful. It is very good news that you are working on the skin documentation it sure will be a GREAT help to many that want to skin but get stuck.

thanks guys...i don't catch every change when it happens. between all the new features and not having as much time as i want, i don't get to play with mp as much as i would like. I've finished up the graphics for the playlist, i just need to upload the files sometime on friday.

Please let me know if any more errors are found. I've also noticed that some of the OSDs are still out of whack. I've doublechecked and it doesn't seem to be a skin problem, but i'm going to triplecheck over the weekend.

    Subtitle enable OSD

I've noticed a problem with the OSD to Enable / Disable Subtitles when playing a DVD movie. The label and the staus are present but it is not possible to toggle the status from the OSD.

I can use the keyboard shortcut and the status is reflected correctly, and I've checked the functionality in BlueTwo which works as I would expect MCE.

Lovely widescreen skin by the way. Thanks for you efforts Boilermaker.

    Fixed

MesFilms v2.23a....I made a few minor changes, but nothing that anybody will notice. For now, I've decided not to use the ratings stars the same way the author does, it doesn't fit the common template of the skin. I like the look, so i may try to use smaller stars horizontally at a later time. I've also for now left out the third button (ratiting) on the details page. Using the button only generated an error.

I have a few other changes to make and will upload everything over the weekend. This will be the last update until after the 4th of July holiday, I will be attending to some things and will not be able to skin for a while. Please continue to post errors/suggestions I will fix them as soon as possible.
    Thanks.

I'm having problem with the dvr-cut screen. It does not start to play the video, as it used to, when the file is selected and I can't a way to get it to play. I'm using an SVN from 6/23.

btw thanks for all your effort

i'll take a look. I don't remember playing any video, after reskinning i pressed all the buttons, moved the sliders, made sure cuts were added to the list, etc. I've got some free time this weekend i didn't think i was going to get, so i'll try it with the latest svn, and make sure what can be done in regular blue two can also be done in this skin.
