what about a robot - I mean a vintage one, coil headed spring or w\ a big key in the back to wind it up.

Pretty childish but not that different from the superhero concept.

the risk with childish (or over-designed) characters is to become bored after a year or so of use.
A more abstract concept (see the blue2 dummy) may be worth in the long term after all.

If an artist comes up with a robot, I say sure, the more submissions the merrier.

I, for one, don't expect the mascot to be choosen soon.

I'd agree that the blue2 dummy ticks all the boxes. I'm hoping this thread will bring out something equally appropriate. It seems to be bringing out the creative talents of the members. (Notice I don't offer any creative work only opinion? There's a very good reason for that )

The superhero theme still works for me though.

I remember growing up with the repeats of the cartoon and loving it… out of all cartoons he’s my number 1, the new seasons are great and that’s coming form a 26 year old.
