MP lad could be the main identity with Mepo being his side kick.
MP lad can be like the father figure for MePo and MePo being the cheeky child. This father son relation should also have the same size scale factor between them.

Just wanted to chime in with my point of view, as I think I am one of the few females who hangs around this forum...
Personally, I don't like the idea of "animals as mascots"... I find it really hard to identify any of them with MediaPortal (and all the animal mascot ideas that have been presented trigger thoughts of either other logos, or disney characters to me). I'd definitely prefer to see something a bit more abstract...
...Which leads to MePo. It's a great character, but is it really MediaPortal? To me, no. To me it seems more like a child's toy than a representative of a piece of software as slick as MediaPortal (having said that, I am using the MePo skin at the moment).
Which leads to Harley's MP Guy and Noel's MP Lad. MP Guy was one of my favourite suggestions (although I still thought there was plenty of room for something better).... and then MP Lad came out. Definitely my favourite by far to represent MP. It has that child-like whimsy to it, yet still looks really "slick" and has that "action hero, can conquer any problem" type image that I feel is perfect for MediaPortal. I also like the suggestion of MePo being his counterpart (or nemesis?).
So there you have it. The female point of view. Or at least, my view, for what it's worth.

WOW - I didn't think we had an active female on the forum. Welcome sonome!
It will be interesting to see what type of response we get from a public call.
BTW - The guy who created MePo and MP Lad (aka MP Boy) is Glenn, his forum nickname is grassynoel.
