that sounds weird. What folder are those files in? I guess that folder is named something like "search". It is designed to primarily search for the folder name as the series name and as a fallback uses the name in the episode when it doesn't find any series from the database. Since it can find series that are named something with search it will not try for invasion.

If you have all your series in one folder you could add a registry key to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TV Show Renamer\Series\ with the name of your folder and set the default value to "forward". It will then use the series name from the episode instead of the folder - or you could rename your folder to something that doesn't match a series.

No i have all the series in diferent folder, inclusive this two. My structure is:

Serial\Season n\episodes

But this happens with different series

hmm, I use the exact same folder structure and didn't encounter that problem before. Can you do a
Code:
dir /S /B >C:\dir.txt
in the command prompt so I can recreate that structure and try to find the problem.

It's working :)

Another thing that hapens to me is when the episode have '[' in the name the program says that it doesn't know the serie:

for instance:

CSI [5x07] - Formalities gives: 'Could not find series CSI ['

I'm uploading a new version which removes brakets () and [] from the series name.

I've also added that the extension will be displayed in the listbox of the renaming application. This should make it easier to identify if a line is for are video or subtitle file.

I have a problem with Movie Renamer. My folder structure is maybe what is causing it. Take a look at it.

This is my problem.

First, I ran movie renamer on d:\film\filmer which holds all my movies. It then scanned a few movies, but then it stopped responding when it got the gremlins 2: a new batch, which had a longer filename, and lies in a seperate folder of d:\film\filmer. I then ran movie renamer on gremlins only, and it renamed it fine. I then added a few movies, including A history of Violence before I ran the scan on d:\film\filmer and since A history of violence is starting with an 'A' it started the scan on this movie, but for some reason, stopped respodning again. I tried removing A history of Violence from the folder, but now it stops responding at 'Starting Scan'. What is wrong here?
