errrr how does one test if event driven mode is working?

If it is not working either log will show that the WASAPI device wont accept that or in Xonar's case it should corrupt the audio itself (pops, noise etc.)

Weird . edterbak told me play-exclusive mode still not working but in MP sound seems good.
Meanwhile I've tested Unified Xonar driver 1.25 but with no result. for me event driver not work. but it's not a problem because last renderer is perfect even without that mode.
note: edterbak have a D2 not a DX.

New version available, mainly for Xonar owners: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/637138-post3.html

version 19 - based on SVN revision 26757

    • Fixed WASAPIUseEventMode setting registry key was not created correctly if all settings were removed (cosmetic)
    • Added a workaround for the Xonar audio HW drivers (audio clock produces incorrect values)
    • Fixed a crash when no WASAPI devices are available

Please test and report back since this might be a last release for a while - there is no open issues currently.

After mistakenly installing this in XP, I've now unregistered the .ax and deleted it, but "MediaPortal - Audio Renderer" still shows as an option in MP Config. How can I remove this?

Thanks for all the work Tourettes. 99% of all files play perfect now!

Here is my result: see the screendump

I have one one 'issue' remaining. I own a WMV file (Dark Knight) which contains:
    Format : WMA3
    Format profile : M2
    Codec ID : 162
    Codec ID/Info : Windows Media Audio 3
Description of the codec : Windows Media Audio 10 Professional - 768 kbps, 48 kHz, 5.1 channel 24 bit 1-pass CBR
    Duration : 2h 32mn
    Bit rate mode : Constant
    Bit rate : 768 Kbps
    Channel(s) : 6 channels
    Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz
    Resolution : 24 bits

When I select Mediaportal Audio Renderer, it always starts from the beginning. FF/RWD is not possible as well.
When I select any other renderer (Xonar in my case) all is fine and it does FF/RWD as well.
Is this an issue cause by the renderer which can be fixed or something else?

Similar problem as edterbak here. I first thought it would be related to MP 1.2.0 Alpha, until I saw his post today and did some further digging.

Basically I can't fast forward/rewind all WMV media files I've tried so far (which are mostly ones with 720p VC-1 codecs inside). All non-wmv media I have available seems to be fine.
The duration is always shown as 0:00 in the Video OSD, as if the video had no length at all.

I've attached logs from when I tried to skip through a wmv video file.

Information from mediainfo (which is accurate):

    FrameRate : 29,97
    Width : 1280
    Height : 720
    AspectRatio : widescreen
    VideoCodec : VC-1 [ "vc-1.png" ]
    Scan type : progressive
    IsInterlaced : False
    VideoResolution : 720P
    VideoDuration : 1229096
    AudioRate : 48000
    AudioChannels : 2 [ "stereo.png" ]
    AudioCodec : WMA VERSION 2 [ "wma version 2.png" ]
    HasAudio : True
    HasVideo : True

Changing audio renderer to anything other than MP Audio Renderer solves the problem immediately.

    Any ideas?

AW: MediaPortal Audio renderer - better video playback quality

    Same problem here.

I hadn't noticed the posts about that problem befor, but now with Phiolin post, i can also confirm the same behaviour.

Besides that, no problems with the latest version!

Can anyone provide a such sample file?
