MediaPortal setup crashes before it can even start with every SVN after "MediaPortal-svn--08-27-2006--19-58-Rev10035.exe". So Rev10035 is working correctly!

    1. ALWAYS attach full log files to your bugreports
    2. ALWAYS use latest svn build for the test
    3. read ::this::

    I don't think so.
    your log says

    seems like you were able to start a mp3?

    your logfile also says that you are starting MediaPortal and not configuration/setup!
    8/30/2006 7:11:38 PM 141 [Info.] Main: MediaPortal is starting up

    so please read the HowTo: report SVN bugs carefully and provide us with a decent report.

    I don't get it. I realy installed the latest SVN, now and before, and the setupcompleted without any errors. The only thing I noticed was different then I'm used to is that no Command screen appeared (writing registry keys, in older SVN's?).

    What I've done now is...
    1. Install the latest SVN (Rev10086 on MP 0.2.0.0).
    2. started the MP-bugreport tool
    3. cleared the mediaportal.log
    5. started MediaPortal itself
    4. started the MP configuration (= still crash)
    5. copied content of mediaportal.log from the bugreport tool

    One thing might be different from anyone else it installation. I use the latest version (not public yet, got it from Sam) of the ECP2 plugin for development purpose. I'm not sure if this can be linked to my configuration crashing?

    here is the mediaportal.log -> http://pastebin.team-mediaportal.com/10476

    A log from a MediaPortal session is of no use when trying to find problems with Configuration.exe

    BUT

    If you suspect the plugin you mentioned, easiest way would be removing it to find out if that's causing it... Ever though about that? ;)
