Well, I see You do not use neither PDVD nor MPC MPA audio in Your case.

In my (XP) setup I tried to do the trick and installed AC3Filter - and guess what? I am able to play this and other files.
(I have fixed number of SD channels with 100% reproducible issue, the most strange is - from different transponders).
But I never suffered from PDVD Audio or MPC MPA Audio problems before.
Even more - if revert to TSReader-24618, I _can_ play these files with my previous tested and used setups, using these (PDVD9 or MPC MPA) audio codecs.
So this narrowing the choice of usable ones looks like workaround for current SVN, IMHO.

UPD My previously uploaded 24669_unable_to_play-live2-0.ts.tsbuffer1.ts plays nicely both with (TSReader-24618 + PDVD/MPC MPA audio) or (current SVN TSReader + AC3Filter).

Youre right PDVD+MPC-MPA plays some secs without sound and stops. I've blamed MPC-MPA for a long time because it is unabled to play MPEG streams of some TV channels.
    Erm...
MPC-MPV/Windows 7 DTV + MPC-MPA play this file nicely here?

So i would blame PDVD in this case (as well), not MPC-MPA. ;)

Fortunately, we have unpretentious 24618 - ready not to blame but work :)

    Sorry?

You just need to download the extension, and doubleclick the file. The Extensionsinstaller ist started then automatically, and the skin/plugin/whatever gets installed.

Or do you mean something else?

No, no, that was exactly what I meant. And while you're absolutely right regarding installing plugins (don't know why I didn't think of this, having done it this way many times myself), the matter still remains for updating/uninstalling plugins. At least if I don't miss anything again.

Surely the proposed button wouldn't be the most important thing that could happen to MediaPortal, but to me it still looks like a small improvement. ;-)

Please provide a patch that fixes all bugs and plugin handling might be added again to config tool. Reason for removing is that uninstall and update was not working at all and we should promote this new installer tool to be used for plugin handling.

I understand that. My suggestion was a simple button that launches the installer tool. This way you could easily have both, the new tool and a way to access plugin installing/updating/uninstallation from mp's config tool.

...and there's another bug that has been in place for a long time: Pressing the "All Grouped" button in the DVB EPG section of TV Service Setup checks some random channels that are not present in any group in addition to the group channels. I.e. the grouped ones are all fine, but there are additional channels checked.
This applies to the TV and the Radio section.
    Confirmed
0002624: setuptv-DVB EPG: pressing the "all grouped" button selects all grouped and some random channels/radiostations - MediaPortal Bugtracker

    Hey guys,

I have a reproducable problem with this build: Switching between certain HD channels lets MP crash.
    My setup:
    Win7 64
    CoreAVC 2.0 codec
    Skystar HD2 DVBS2 card
    Astra 19.2

    Steps to reproduce:
Start MP, enter TV on an SD channel, switch to "Das Erste HD", then to "Servus TV HD".

Had issues with switching between HD channels with the previous builds also, so this may not be a new problem. The behavior was not that clear, however.
I can not confirm this issue.
    1. Tuned N24
    2. changed channel to "Das Erste HD"
    3. changed channel to "Servus TV HD"
    4. changed channel to "RTL"
    5. all still working
    tested on multiseat:
    • W7 64bit
    • floppyDTV-S2
    • mpeg2: W7 DTV DVD
    • h.264: W7 DTV DVD
    • audio: MPC-MPA

    tested onsingleseat:
    • WinXp 32bit
    • Hauppauge Nova-HD-S2
    • mpeg2: MPC-MPV
    • h.264: coreavc 1.9.5
    • audio: MPC-MPA

First problem for me and new to this SVN.

TV works fine on the TVServer PC but I just get a blank screen when I try to view it on a client PC and get this error in the TVlog :

    Code:
2010-01-09 12:58:38.452148 [RTSP Streaming thread]: Exception :System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.
       at TvLibrary.Streaming.RtspStreaming.StreamRun()
       at TvLibrary.Streaming.RtspStreaming.workerThread()

No errors in the client PC logs. Client and Server logs attached.

Second problem is strange but I've seen it before.
    1) I did a fresh install (full removal of MP & TVServer) on both a client and server PC (Both W7Ultimate). Server TV worked. 2) Client PC gave "SQLServer port 1433 may be blocked" error when I started MP and navigated to TV. There is no SQLServer install on either PC.
    3) I turned off the server Windows firewall as a diagnostic step - and TV listings came up (then hit problem above - unrelated?)
    4) Turned firewall back on and client PC was much slower starting (paused at "Loading Plugins") but it started without error and I was able to access the TV listings (then hit problem above)
    5) Turned firewall off and as per 4) but it started quickly

    Second problem summary
Initial startup would not work unitl firewall is turned off and clears the SQLServer error. After that the firewall causes a big delay in startup of the client. This can be seen in the two client logs where there is a delay near "TvNotify: start" in the client withfirewall.log.

I noticed that zapping speed is noticebly slower compared to 1.0.2.
For testing I just removed the prefer AC3 audio setting which improves zapping speed a lot.
Is this an inherent necessity or simply a bug?

    Regarads,

We also need your TsReader.log which is not in your zip from your previous post.

Ok. Did some more testing... there was no TsReader.log, because the TsReader is not used for the m2ts files. The logs attached where made with first playing a .ts file and then a .m2ts file (the same as in the logs before). Both files run smooth in windows media player and checked it with graphedit, also same codecs are used.

outside MP -> .ts and .m2ts works fine; inside MP -> .ts fine, .m2ts video stucks and sound is playing fine.

    used codecs MPC-MPV and MPC-MPA

i know, that it's only a testsystem and not the best hardware for HD, but differences in windows media player and MP in playback are strange?!

Can not confirm that here. Just updated my server and all 4 clients. still working nicely

Never seen such here on WinXp, Vista nor on W7.
