TV Doesn't Work

Hi Guys,

Fast GUI by the way!

Inbuilt TV engine no longer works with this SVN. Logs attached.

I just get the standard blue backdrop with no menus or TV picture or sound when I enter My TV. I can press back and get back to the home menu though so not a complete crash. Also the front VFD displays channels details correctly.....

Help!

Cheers,
Colin

    New info for debugging purposes

    A. Analog Radio (multiseat)
    1. start radio
    2. radio start to play
    3. memory usage of MP keeps rising until out of memory
    4. crash of MP
    5. logs attached

Just thought of my Acer Aspire One which is still running a Windows partition with MP 1.0 on it. Played analog radio streamed from my TV server perfectly for over an hour.
I am not a developer but for me this means that the problem is almost surely in the new and improved TV plugin (assuming that the TV plugin also is responsible for the my radio part of MP)

I will later on 'upgrade' this version to the latest SVN just to 'prove' my analysis above and overruling any doubts on whether this is System / OS / Codec / User related.

If somebody says 'hey, since you are going to do this, pleas try this as well', please let me know!
If somebody can confirm the bug then this would save me some work..... ;) I feel like I am the only one who is facing this :(. with version 1.0.1 being so close I'm getting a little bit nervous ;)

    to be continued!

    regards,
    Ruud.

does anyone else have a problem with skipping to the end of a video?
So you press your remotes a few times while playing a vid, but when you want to skip directly to the end, nothing happens?

Any thoughts on whether my problem mentioned earlier is MP or Moving Pictures itself???

    regards,
    Ruud.

    Okay,

just did a complete uninstall of MP tv Plugin, Decoders (SAF, Haali, ffdshow), ran meredit and made sure there where no filter errors, reboot.
    Fresh install of MP 1.0:
    1. Radio works
    2. TV works (zapping is a lot faster, so zapping speed improvement is in tv server?)

Installed latest SVN: same 3 errors as before.
So I can for sure say that it is not system / os / decoder / user related.

Hope this is helpfull for any one, it helped me in getting a clean system again ;)

please shout out if testing / help is needed in this specific error.

    Thanks,
    Ruud.

I wanted to post logs of an issue, but when I ran MP in debug mode the log collection failed after exiting MP with this error message:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
