Good work

Excellent build (haven't yet tried scheduled recordings). Performance and stability is all we need, nothing else matters. So close, no matter how far. But also some eye-candy would be good, black default skin for MediaPortal 2 :D Thanks, this kind of improvements are the right way.

Long Delay going back to Home from Music

Hi Guys,

I have recently started using My Music. With this SVN and the previous it takes many minutes for the menu to go back from My Music to Home (actually it goes back to folder view, but I expected the GUI to go back to home screen when pressing backup button on remote). Here is the relevant log entry from MediaPortal.log

    That's the wrong file...
Use the Configuration app's button at the top menu to open the user files. The MediaPortal.xml in there will have the debug section.
Do not forget to delete the font cache before starting MP...

    Huge thanks rtv,

    It solved the problem!

Guys, when I hear you talk about how good MP is getting, I really get burned, because I'm still using RC3 and waiting for 1.0.1 to be released. I wish if I can freeze my soul, and wake up when 1.0.1 is ready :p

Thanks to the devs for all their work.

I see from the changelogs that many changes were made surrounding the rendering of the UI, & that these changes seem to be based around a 50Hz base clock. Is this hard coded (completely/partially), or does it follow the setting for UI rendering?

I wonder this, as I would think that it should be based around a 60Hz clock for those in an NTSC region, & want to know if it's user controllable.

Yeah I like the new improvements... Finally WinAmp Milkdrop is working with Last.fm with out crashing...

Um concerning a few issues though... Streamed MP and Mediastream still have an issue with the Music - Current Playlist section... Basically the side panel is hard coded to open on the left even though the skin theme is designed to arrive from the right. I've asked both skinners and have been assured this is an MP problem not a skin problem...

How would I go about Bugtracking this?

Rendering engine works correctly when you do the following:

    - Set FPS to match the display device refresh frequency, MP will take care of the rest (use v-sync to sync the frame rendering).
    - Enjoy the smooth animations thanks to rtv

MediaPortal scratched up to 497MB with significant break ups in Timeshifting over one hour. Is there a memory hole? Can anyone confirm.

Yes, I had a similar Probölem yesterday Evening: After Live TV about an hour, it begins to stutter, high harddisc usage and finaly crashes! After restar of MP playback begins from the last channel change (--> 1 hour in the past).

I have this problem with the last SVNs, too. Just "MediaPortal SVN-Snapshot:-02-28-2009 00-07h - Revision:21813" is doing fine.

Unfortunatly I don't have a log, but will try to get one one if it happens again (and my wife "allows" to do this test on a friday evening... ).

    Greetings

I am having problems with tv tuners in TV Server with this SVN. The "type" field in the tuner list shows 'Unknown'. They are listed correctly (i.e. DVB-T and analogue) when I first enter TV Server configuration, but if I change anything they switch to unknown. I re-installed from scratch with the same result.

In the TV Server error log I am getting a message saying "cannot find KNCBDACTRL.dll". The dll is there.

I reverted back to the previous SVN and everything is ok. I am using WinXP Pro SP3.
