1. When you push R on the keyboard for recording nothing happend and some times it does. I have reported about this before.
are you try to push "caps lock"?

Nopes R on keyboard or record on mce remote it dosent work, it workt with rc1 and then started to fail.
I have tried on more machines and the same error.:sorry:

In the hope of doing a complete cleanup and reinstall I tried to save my channel setups by using the export funtion. I pressed said button and a dialog came up indicating that this might take some time. Indeed it did. So I gave up and left it going all night. Inspected progress after around 12hours and it still hadn't completed.

Is this function working for anyone else?

Maybe your DB is corrupt.

Yes, it do.

Corrupt! - I can believe that. OK will do a complete uninstall. Are there any extra steps to take to flush out old tables etc from the sql database or will a full uninstall of TVserver and MP (by using the remove software functions in windows) leave the database in completely empty condition? I'm using the database package that MP installed for me and have not messed with this at all. My only interaction with it is to type in the MediaPortal Password at which point the dialog goes green and it disappears.

After reinstallation of MP RC1, I will then add this SVN and will then scan for TV and radio channels and then start the channel sorting process.


Sound like a good plan?

You can also try to repair corrupted tables using sql manager. It's obviously not as safe as a complete reinstall. If you want to delete the old database or rename it you can also do it using sql manager.

Hi,

Sorry I'm quiet new to all this stuff and of course here my System specs:

CPU: AMD Athlon 62X2 DualCore 4400+
System: WinXP Pro SP2 with all available updates
Ram: 2GB
Video: gForce 7050 with latest driver available
Sat-Card: HVR4000 with latest drivers v4.4
HDD: 500GB/ Free 200GB

Furthermore I can remember that I've installed winDVR using MP for the first time to get analog channels,. Since then everything was fine till now. And when I look now into the settings of MP there is still the menuEntry: "Encoder Filters" and "InterVideo Encoder Filters" where I can find some settings concerning analog tv. Maybe it has something to do with that Encoder? Besides When I try to "Check" my analog settings under: "Quality Control" in the tvServer config nothing happens? All this started with the previous SVN release 19311 in 19288 analog channels and scanning of them was fine.

Hi,
I looked at your logs and it seems that the installed encoders (InterVideo and CyberLink) aren't working with the HVR-4400. AFAIK you have to install the Hauppauge encoders which are available on the CD.

The "Check" button in SetupTv only checks if the used encoder support Quality Control. Since the server isn't able to find the right encoder, the check button can't find any result for this.

at first for the Reply When I'm back from Work today I'll try to find these encoders on the CD and if they will work. But overall it still is a little strange to me because when I install svn 19288
it works again. Thats why I was posting it here, because I thought it's something concerning the newest svn release!?

TV Server bug in 19376 vs. 19228

Strange things happening:

Did a clean install of RC1 and SVN. Everything (TV, music, radio, DVD) seems to be running nicely. However, after some time of working with MP, TVServer appears to die. [...] MP now hangs and can only be terminated by killing the task.
TV Server is also behaving strangely as the service cannot be terminated anymore (error message like "Service not replying")

I reinstalled SNV19228 - and all issues that I have been reporting about are gone! Can some developer have a look at the differences between 19376 and 19228 and tell us what was changed?

Well, all issues except a) the fact that recordings are now again stored in the TV Server program directory and b) Radio channel change has the 20second problem, but this was known for 19228.

Uh.... Isn't that kind of a tease?

I was able to install RC1 with just some warnings, and all the SVN updates until the most recent.

And yes, I have SP2 installed.
