OS not supported?

I have tried installing the latest SVN but also get the message "Your O/S is not supported"

I am running Win Xp 32 bit Sp3. Is there an issue with SP3, All worked fine with the mediaportal-svn-05-31-2008--14-18-Rev19228.

What could be the issue?

I am running SP3 too and never observed any installation hassles. You MediaPortal log doesn't show anything annoying. Actually is is identical with mine, which was created during a successful installation. At what stage of the installation are you getting the error message?

powersheduler-bug is back into this svn;(
the bug first apears with the implementation of a so called new powersheduler feature in Revision:19158!
there it get fixed with modified powersheduler dll`s by rtv.

no this bug seems to be back.
I set "only allow standby between" to 0 - 24 o'clock, but power scheduler does not allow the system to go into standby/hibernation.
you need the modified powersheduler-interface-files from rtv, that it is working correctly.
no explanation why this bug isn t solved automaticly by the devs.
with these files, powersheduler is working correctly.

two things:
first:we have a feature freeze, so i was suprised that suddenly a new powersheduler-feature was implementet.
secound: if a new feature gets implementet, it dosn t should prevent basic-function from work.
if this is the case like with the new powersheduler-feature, then maybe it not so a clever idea to implement it.
to verify all this, costs me a night of work;/

if anyone comes again with sentences like: this is opensource, you have to shutup or anything else, he gets shoot.
i invest my time to verify bugs and give feedback to make this software better.

udate: false/positive. powersheduler seems to work, but it need longer to send the system in standyb/hibernation.
yes, i know, it uses the time in my settings. in my case after 15 minutes of ideling. but now it needs about 30mins to send the system in standby/hibernation.
with the modified powersheduler-dll`s, it works better.

parkuhr, so where are the logs to confirm this(should be attached so we can find out why & fix it)?

This actually works fine here only shut down between 23:00 -> 07:00 & when tested allowed shutdown 0 -> 24 also worked so not confirmed here.

Hi Roy,

i testet it yesterday with 0-24 setting and a idle time of 15 minutes to go in hibernation.
as it wasn t in hibernation after 30mins, i sugestet the powersheduler-bug is back again.
so i replaced the powersheduler-inteface-dll, with the motivied ones from rtv.
and see, from this time, it works like it should. system was in hibernation after ideling of 15minutes like i settet it up.

to be sure, i played back the orginal powersheduler-dll`s.
after 35mins of waiting, i startet the post here, becouse i thought, powersheduler isn t working correctly.
then, after i wrote the post here, the system was going into hibernation
therefore my false/positive update
maybe that was a quickshoot.
i apologize.

Is it true that non-supported OS's have been locked out from this SVN? If so that would be a real shame, I was fine with the big message box telling me it's not supported. I've been running the TV Server on Windows Server 2003K for a long time now without issues, and it would be a huge upheaval (if not impossible considering some of the other server functionality I'm using) to go back to XP Pro.

Sorry I'm quiet new to all this stuff and of course here my System specs:

CPU: AMD Athlon 62X2 DualCore 4400+
System: WinXP Pro SP2 with all available updates
Ram: 2GB
Video: gForce 7050 with latest driver available
Sat-Card: HVR4000 with latest drivers v4.4
HDD: 500GB/ Free 200GB

Furthermore I can remember that I've installed winDVR using MP for the first time to get analog channels,. Since then everything was fine till now. And when I look now into the settings of MP there is still the menuEntry: "Encoder Filters" and "InterVideo Encoder Filters" where I can find some settings concerning analog tv. Maybe it has something to do with that Encoder? Besides When I try to "Check" my analog settings under: "Quality Control" in the tvServer config nothing happens? All this started with the previous SVN release 19311 in 19288 analog channels and scanning of them was fine.

Hi,
I looked at your logs and it seems that the installed encoders (InterVideo and CyberLink) aren't working with the HVR-4400. AFAIK you have to install the Hauppauge encoders which are available on the CD.

The "Check" button in SetupTv only checks if the used encoder support Quality Control. Since the server isn't able to find the right encoder, the check button can't find any result for this.

at first for the Reply When I'm back from Work today I'll try to find these encoders on the CD and if they will work. But overall it still is a little strange to me because when I install svn 19288
it works again. Thats why I was posting it here, because I thought it's something concerning the newest svn release!?

now I've been able to test the Hauppauge encoders that were originally delivered. The Result is no change: AnalogTV doesn't work. I've tried to look by myself into the logs and found something saying that a audio encoder isn't found and I should install one. But As I mentioned before when I reinstall svn 19288, analog tv works again. So I think that it has to do with the latest svn release or am I that wrong?

I've got some Problems with the Pinnacle Dual Sat Pro PCI.

First!
This Rev. is the first, since a long time, that make Disecq work (a little bit) with my Pinnacle Dual Sat Pro PCI!

But the Problem is: TVServer shows No signal on every Transponder without TP21, where it can find 11 Channels Vertical.
The Signal Level is around 50% all time and the Signal Quality is 0 at all TP's without 21...
I did chec the Level and Quality with a Satfinder.
Signallevel of Astra is 70%, Quality is at 100%.
Signallevel of Hotbird is 69%, Quality is at 99%.

Earlier Revisions did not recieve any Channel on Hotbird...

any Ideas?

after some hours of watching movies( not on tv!), live-tv wasn t working.
first after restarting tv-server, live-tv was working again.

using diseq with a focus on astra and hotbird like in your case.
i use a skystar2. diseq works fine, also on earlirer revisions.
the skystar2 is only a budget card, with very bad bda drivers.
the bda drivers have no diseq support, so i have to use the wdm drivers.
maybe you have a driver problem or something...
