A nasty bug in Mediaportal 1.1 (latest rev, and previous rev's).
When I open a video for the first time, it works great. When the movie/video is done, and I want to select another one, I get this error:

Unable to play: (MOVIENAME).mkv

VIDEO CODEC: V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC
AUDIO CODEC: DTS (or another codec)

After this, the screen stays black (but the system works, because I can hear clicking sounds and my remote is respoding).

So basically, I need to restart Mediaportal if I want to see another episode/movie/media file.

I use Windows 7 Ultimate RTM (activated) and have a Ati mobility Radeon 3400HD (DXVA capable).

This is a known problem with MPC-HC codec. Do not use MPC-HC H.264 codec under windows 7. You can use the Microsoft codec instead.

I have experienced the same problem as christix:

"I have a computer that does not wake up with this svn. The computer does not wake up to record, from standby. Tryed everything,,,clean install.
Any clue somone? logs if it is relevant when i had to wake the damn thing manualy, With earlier svn:s it worked"

Have checked Powerscheduler settings very carefully several times. Machine will not wake up for scheduled recordings.

Can't attached logs at the moment as machine in use for other things. Can reproduce and post logs if those from christix are not enough/

I have a problem with the last svn.
I become a error message in MP configuration-->Plugins
"An error occured while loading the plugin MediaPortal.GUI.VIDEO.GUIVideoFullscreen.
It´s incompatible with the current MediaPortal Version and won´t be loaded."

I get both theese: @rtv: When set to wave it jumps back to master when saving...

Edit: In my case, it was the upmix to 5.1/7.1 setting in music section, that had to be unchecked.

Hi,

I' getting a lot of crashes of MP an MP-Config, when trying to scan (ofdb/imdb) my movies into Mediaportal:

Really strange, as this problem doesn't seem to exist in 1.02 without SVNs


Hope somebody knows what is going on there !?

EDIT: I tried it again in Mediaportal (manually) and what ist that?! After entering my videos and trying to get ofdb/imdb data for each one of them, everything seemd to go slower and slower and my harddisk seemd to be more and more active... and finally some kind of mtn.exe crashed? Is that some kind of MP component? It seems that it is causing my probs with the scans!? Maybe it just eats all my resources or something like that?

Edit:Edit: Ok I think I found the reason for my prob, deactivated the autocreation that seems to me new and that i didn't realise before as ne config option fpr MP and everything seems to work fine now... so not the scanning is the prob but the thumbs creation!?!

Hi,

in my case, no picture in HD TV and need to exit with alt F4 (after try to look HD TV)...

Clean reinstall to test (exept databases), same problem.

Edit : Work only with coreAVC, no more with divx (I used before) or ffdshow :-/

found another one with HD-TV: When switching between the german "Das Erste HD", "ZDF HD" and Astra HD or Anixe HD everything works fine with my CoreAVC 1.95 and CUDA acceleration But switching to Arte HD from one of them, ends in a frozen Picture of the last watched HD Channel or even crashes Mediaportal Something with Arte HD seems to be different

Hope the Attached Logfiles can help to hunt down the HD Probs

If I edit mediaportal.xml:

Then everything works fine until I run config which puts it back to "no" again

-I confirm, same problem with Arte HD on sat (work on TNT), definitivly a problem in HD rendering.
-Add ffdshow as post-processing don't work : picture freeze on zapping
-desinterlacing seem not work (or is very bad)

Re the failure to wake up issue reported above, this morning my system with this SVN didn't wake up to grab EPG. I use WEBEPG which has always been successful previously.

Can post logs if necessary - but since the machine didn't wake what log would I need to post?

I have a problem with multiple tuners - having FireDTV-s and FireDTV-S2 installed. Everything is fine, if ONE client is zapping, recording etc. second client also works fine, if same transponder is used (stays on same card). If other card is required, system sometimes hangs when trying to tune. It's the same card I use exclusively for Idlegrabbing. Client hangs and I have to reboot to clear the situation.
TVserver also hangs - so might not be related to MP, but any hint how I can get to a solution? Using win7/64 RTM and latest BDA beta drivers, both cards on same FW-port with "legacy drivers" as recommended by DE.
