Previus version seems to be more stable here.
Im having problems running multiseat with ch-changes, stoping TV, "timeshift stepping" and sometimes client that hangs (windows error message).

A bit more detailed information is needed. Preferably one set of logs per one issue. With the current information there is no point in spending time reading the logs.

tourettes - could this be Ok?

    MediaPortalLogs_26_12_09_TV_did not start
    - timeshift could not start this time

    MediaPortalLogs_26_12_09_windows error @ch_change
    - changing ch between two cards (FTA channels)

MediaPortalLogs_26_12_09_timeshifting and long time until TV stops
    - sometimes (with rtsp) stepping in time does not work (this is not a new problm.)
    - when stopping TV its seems to be a timeout after 30sec until its stopped

    Regards,

Maybe MisterD could have some educated guess on this one?

Unfortunately MP logs wont help in such hard crashes. Please provide more info with the following guide: Debugging/MemoryDump - MediaPortal Manual Documentation

MediaPortalLogs_26_12_09_timeshifting and long time until TV stops
    - sometimes (with rtsp) stepping in time does not work (this is not a new problm.)

Known issue, should be listed already in Mantis.

    - when stopping TV its seems to be a timeout after 30sec until its stopped

Most likely same root cause as for the 1st issue.

    * I get the Windows taskbar showing (across bottom of screen), even though I have set the taskbar to be hidden when in full screen via rhe MP configuration utility. This also happened in the previous svn. If I restart MP it disappears, but when I change the volume (possibly other remote button presses as well, but I noticed it as soon as I changed the volume this time), the taskbar reappears and stays. To get around this, I have set the taskbar to autohide through Windows.

Do you have some sound card sytem tray icons that could be causing the task bar to popup?
Spot on Tourettes. I disabled the audio tray icon and unchecked the 'hide taskbar' in Windows, and the taskbar now stays hidden whenever MP is in fullscreen. :D

I am now trying to get the audio codecs set up properly. For some reason, Channel 7HD (1080i) and 7 TWO (SD 576i) audio are broadcast in MPEG1 format according to the digital set top box connected to an analog TV in another room. On the HTPC I can get video and audio for 7 TWO, but only video (no audio) for 7HD. All other channels - HD and SD, which are either 720p, 1080i or 576i - work flawlessly and audio is broadcast in MPEG2 format. I will be checking (and possibly posting) logs soon to see why this is happening.

EDIT: I realised that the centre/sub-woofer speaker jack had come out, which was the reason for no audio (I guess channel 7HD makes use of the centre speaker for vocals). I am currently using the Cyberlink PDVD 9 video decoder (MPEG2 & H.264) and MPC MPA audio decoder. This combination works well for TV and DVD.

Same problem as hulkhaugen. I'm running MediaPortal Version 1.0.2 and previous SVN were no problem.
Still installed the security update (vcredist_x86.exe) on my Windows XP system. But I keep getting the same error message.

    Anyone notice the same?
When using the Cyberlink Powerdvd 9 mpeg codec the framerate is now half of what it used to be (a not so smooth 25fps vs. smooth 50 fps),
(same for powerdvd 9 h264 codec actually)
When using ati, mpc, microsoft codecs I do get the correct 50 fps.
    Powerdvd 8 h264 also results in a smooth 50fps
What logs would be useful? (I do prefer the image quality of the powerdvd9 series, but they seem troublesome?)

Also with this release (but others posted on that already I guess) I can't get a previously working client on Win7 64bit to work at all anymore..
    (can't play stream 2.n)

p.s. the attached logs are those of the client
