2 things. Frist, what version of DVDFAB?

2nd, I ran into an issue with ripping movies and the IMDB stuff. I put in a movie that I made for my parents. It has lots of pictures of my family while I was growing up, and I like to look back at some of those some times. Figured I would throw it on the box so I could "save" the DVD from use.

Well, the movie initially came up with the title of "DVD_VIDEO", so I changed it so I would know what it was. after I changed the name, it tried to hit IMDB to pull movie info (all is fine at this point, working as expected). Now it pulls up a list of DVD movies for me to choose from. I didn't have an option to NOT pick a title (which is what I needed to do) and keep what I had and NOT pull down cover art. I ended up selecting a movie from the list, and just living with it for now. My movie is named the title of the movie I had to select, not what I wanted it to be.

Is there anything that can be done to allow us to put in a custom title for a movie, and use that as the only info for ALL of the views (not just shares view which I don't use anyway).

I've wondered about this too.

Should maybe add a default DVD cover and allow whatever name is typed in,

.... hmmm I think the file on disk is saved under the one typed in, it's just the movie name in the database that is off. You can change the listing in the movie database in MP config by changing the name and saving it. then you can type in whatever info in the fields and save again. You can add a graphic of your own making (including a screengrab if you wish) in the Coverart section.

You can cancel IMDB with Esc (keyboard) or Back (remote). Same works for CD cover also. But what comes to this naming issue don't have a clue - yet.

It almost works for me, IMDB lookup works.
The DVD rip (Full disk) goes well at first and it starts DVDFab but then it does not start the ripping (says scanning the disk), if I exit MP I can press start and then DVDFab starts ripping, so the plugin did start DVDFab and had it ready to go, just did not press start for me...
Am I missing some setting?

What version of DVDFab (full/free, numbering)? Check from DVDFab that ignore reading error is on and unselect ask overwriting same file. If still doesn't work some logs might help.

Hi,

i would like to rip full disc to use DVD menu, audio settings, extras. But i don't want to watch all the DVD's intro commercial/warnings.
How could i get rid of it?
I know than VLC player skip it automatically. Is there an option of ripping or for playin in MP?

DVD's once got the IMDB showing up getting info and all, but it's just not ripping, its not even activiating DVD Fab as far as I can tell. Also is there a way to get rid of the DVD Fab upgrade offer section at the beginiing. Thankyou. Oh I installed the RC2 dll's and the latest version. Do I need to install the patches aswell and if so, how and where do I install them. Thanks again for what looks to be a great plugin

Can't help if not even DVDFab version is not listed. There is now several posts with some problems without logs or any detailed info?!? Should I guess what is wrong over there. Please post logs. And if you get it working afterwards it would be nice to know how you fix it. Btw is this working at all - anybody?

This plugin is now 'reading' button labels and acts accordingly. So if there is even a minor difference with labels coded into plugin and DVDFab it won't work. That is why I listed those versions I tested this with. And what comes to this upgrade screen this plugin will just click that 'Start HD Decrypter' button so it doesn't matter.

Read through this thread and be enlightened.

Yeah look, it's not even ripping CD's now.. Its very strange, basically I can go into the plugin and "Go rip" and it will just sit there. Even if I have no CD in the drive, it won't even prompt me... Strangest thing is that I pretty much had this fully running last night. Went to bed, got up today and nothing...

I havn't changed a single setting which is the weirdest thing.. Sorry about no Log, I don't understnad, it doesn't actually crash, how do I activate logging?

Hi Manfred,

Did you submit your core changes for multi-disk to the Help on Developement section? I'd hate to lose this functions, seems as the core is going through some recent evolution.
