New dlls added. I hope that share view does not freeze anymore as code changes are minimal. Also Virtual Clone Drive support added if Daemon is causing some trouble.

    All works great really fantastic!
Stracking works well, as does mpeg4 and audio CD...

    One comment:
After ripping (Full disc mode) the 'timer' works good but after finishing writing the ISO it goes to 50% and it takes a long time before the plugin says Ripping complete...

    wishlist:
    - auto adding of ripped music to DB
    - Full Disk ripping to Video_TS folder

Good post with relevant info. Simply as that: too old MP. Plain 0.2.3.0 will not work as this plugin is using core resources from later SVN versions. Why don't you upgrade to RC2 + SVN?

Judging from mejim707's post, MediaSlayer doesn't work with 1.0RC2, either. It looks to me like MediaSlayer may have worked well with a particular build at some point in the past. As RC2 is a moving target, I do not expect Media Slayer to become ready for use until after 1.0 stable.

SVN, subversion, shortly means a repository tool for sw development. The most important part is that development can be done at the same time from different locations. MP SVN is a build which is compiled from that repository with the most current changes. There is a section in forum for those builds (installer included - easy to update).

Oh, like CVS (=Concurrent Versioning System). SVN is contraction then, not an acronym.

Since I know squat about coding and I'm not a dev, I will wait until MP1.0stable comes out. (I did enough beta testing in my Linux days) I'll just keep using DVD Decrypter and Audio Grabber until then. (I'm using a dualscreen setup with MP 0.2.3.0 and it works well enough)

Looking forward to Media Slayer in the future. Thanks for the hard work done by the devs and beta testers! :D

What happened to the possibility of having the .iso ripping part being included?? I thought you found some code to do this.

I still hate that DVDFAB is the ISO ripper being used for this. IMGBURN does the same job and it is free. I can live without a progress bar if I can get rid of DVDFAB. It messes with my ability to play and use ANYDVD HD for playing (and ripping) blu-ray movies to the hard drive.

I've highlighted a couple of bits.

I really want to get this pluging in to work; the CD ripping is superb and to be able to rip+re-encode a DVD with one click would be just great.

I'm running MP RC1 SVN-Snapshot:-07-04-2008 12-31h - Revision:19574 with the monochrome skin. Currently installed is Mediaslayer 0.8h + mplayer free download. To be honest I'm confused on what dlls I should be using as the ones detailed on the front page reference RC2 which I'm not using, although when I frist downloaded the dlls I'm sure RC1 was mentioned.

    any ideas?

    tony

There is beta available, search page or two back. I was hoping you to test that with AnyDVD and that is why I have not released it officially. It is working with DVD43.

Also why new version is not on first page is that music db handling does not work. I have no idea why it is not adding tracks to db even the code is taken from internal ripper?!?

If I remember correctly someone else also faced this same problem, I tried to correct that but no feedback received was it working or not. There is still something wrong with the stdoutput reading in some cases?!? I have not faced this but will look after. What is really strange where does this IMDB stuff coming from as there is no stdout for that?

You do not need those dlls for this plugin. Those are enhancements to basic core functions: stacking, cover art for share etc.

I will get that version and test it out. I have been out of the loop on this for a while. Had some personal things going on. but I am back and ready and willing to help you test whatever is needed.

Thanks again for a really great plugin and all of your hard work.

If everything is working OK with the new dlls you can keep those.

What comes to this audio selection problem was that dialog ok where choosing track? I mean it was showing something like:

    ac3 (5.1) language: en aid: 128.
ac3 (stereo) language: en aid: 129.
ac3 (stereo) language: en aid: 130.

It can be that dialog is not reseted even it is ordered in code and values are still appearing from IMDB progress dialog as being previous one. Strange, really strange. But we have a clue now what is happening.

Is that error coming for all movies or just Mission Impossible II?
