If everything is working OK with the new dlls you can keep those.

What comes to this audio selection problem was that dialog ok where choosing track? I mean it was showing something like:

ac3 (5.1) language: en aid: 128.
ac3 (stereo) language: en aid: 129.
ac3 (stereo) language: en aid: 130.

It can be that dialog is not reseted even it is ordered in code and values are still appearing from IMDB progress dialog as being previous one. Strange, really strange. But we have a clue now what is happening.

Is that error coming for all movies or just Mission Impossible II?

Hi Manfred,

I was half through a post then had an idea which I'll come to.

First of all I had 2 more fail in the same way; Kangaroo Jack and The Thomas Crown Affair, but had slight success with Toy Story 2 and Clarkson Supercar Showdown (recognised as 2EDVD0228). I say slight success as Toy Story ended up with a 110Kb file and the 2EDVD0228 file was 3.20MB - obviously not full rips. Whilst doing the above the only dialogs I got were to do with the film name and selecting coverart.

However, I've just tried something slightly different; this when I inserted a DVD (MI2) I said yes to the dialog asking if I wanted to play it, I then stopped it playing and went to rip in MediaSlayer - this time I did get the dialog box about sound selection and I got the 3 that you said i.e.

ac3 (5.1) language: en aid: 128.
ac3 (stereo) language: en aid: 129.
ac3 (stereo) language: en aid: 130.

I've selected the ac3 (5.1) and so far no error, I'll let you know how I get on.

I've attached the log which was created with my other tests.

If there anything I should check just to make sure I've set MediaSlayer up properly please say.

Many thanks for your help.

    New beta

Here is new beta including some new stuff and fixes.

    Bug fixes:
    - audio select for mpeg4. I hope this helps, can't verify by myself
    - removed all localize things if that is causing problems for non-english OS. I'm not sure if OK, Cancel, Yes & No buttons are named like this even if localized Win in use? Can somebody inform me. This is affecting DVDFab usage and is very important!

    New stuff:
    - audio tracks are now inserted to database, no need to scan anymore after ripping
    - inform user when moving iso from temp to target. I think this must be changed so that if not using network drives store directly to target -> saves time
    - this also have the internal ISO writer, see general settings in setup

    Hi Manfred,

Just a quick update, I left MediaSlayer re-encoding MI2 when I went to work and when I came home it was all completed; which is great - just a bit weird that it'd worked this time round. I'll try the others that failed before and see if they work, I haven't actually changed anything, other than to play the DVD just prior to re-encoding.

If that's all I have to do then the plugin is just great, as all I want is the main movie ripped to a single file.

    Cheers
    Tony

PS: once I've done these tests, I'll update to your new beta.

    Cover Art dont work

    Hi Manfred,

I have some Problems with Mediaslayer to Rip Audio-CD to MP3, but only when I use the "Get Cover Art" Funktion. Media Portal Crashes every time I try.
Ripping without this function works fine.

    Thanks for help

What did you do to get it working? It might help others if sharing info.

Maybe something has changed in core between RC1 and RC2 as this plugin is compiled against RC2. Update to RC2 or try those dlls from first post.

Manfred: i have the spanish version of win xp, when im ripping a DVD and i press the cancel button, dvdfab show a dialog which says are you sure cancel the proccess? the options are: Sí AND No
the word Si is with a accent in the character i.
So the problem is that mediaslayer is not correctly handling this dialog and does not cancel the ripping.

    Thanks, Victor

Good thinking. Another approach: I can add a parameter stored at MediaPortal.xml MediaSlayer section where you can define Yes button text. Then all languages can be supported easily. This will be a hidden one so manual change needed. Would you like to test that?
