Has anyone got this working with RC3?
I believe I have it working in RC3... So far so good, would be nice to have a skin for it though..
I'm using Blue3.... Be really nice if some one could skin it a bit better.. Thanks.. I'm also using Internal ISO writing if that might help..

Can you please try the new version 1.0e if plugin was not starting to rip at all. For some unknown reason couple of commented lines (localizing thing) were uncommented and that might cause what you noticed. And if it still does not work please state your OS and used language in MP.
Hey, I got the latest version and rc3, do I still have to use the old version to get the internal dvd ripper again? I have been super busy and out of touch with all this and need to get caught back up. i dont have\want dvdfab

Also with 1.0e the plugIn does not start. After selecting mediaslayer under plugins the screen blends out and then in. So mediaportal does not start at all.
I use windows XP and the English MP version. As skin I tried Monochrom and xface. Mediaslayer does not work with both skins. I have no idea what is the problem. What to do???

dvd ripping is not working
useing rc3/sp3.
dvd riping is not working. it hangs at anylze.
then suddenly you hear the sound of the dvd in the background.
but analyzing still hangs.
have trid it with two different versions of fab DVDFab HD Decrypter: DVDFabHDDecrypter4120 ,DVDFab5100.
ripping audio cd seems to work.
you can t change anything under musi and video on the mainscreen of that plugin.
video is everytime on fulldisc. audio is on ogg vorbis.

i also can t understund why not useingfree rippers like: smartripper, dvd-decryptor or shrink dvd?
fab is comercial. no matter that they give their ripper for free..
but i haven t read this whole tread.
maybe there is an explanation for that.
i using version 10e of media slayer.

update: its starting fab hd decrypter first if you end mediaportal!
therefore it is hanging while analyze. then: the new fab decryptor have a ugly nag screen. you have to press start on hd decrypter, otherwise it hangs in nag screen.

update2: it seems that it isn t starting fab correctly if no entry for the dvd you are ripping is found on database.
if this is the case, it hangs while analyzing and fab starts first if you end mediaportal.

update3: dvd-ripping is working now, but not correctly!
plugin hangs at analyzing while fab is startet in the background and ripping dvd.
after its finished, nothing happens. plugins just hang at analyzing.
this occur with DVDFab5100! with DVDFabHDDecrypter4120, it seem to work.

improvement sugestions
-posibilty to choose a bitrate for mp3 ripping. i can t see that the plugin is getting more complicatet with such an options!
just leave it on default bitrate, if the user wana have a different bitrate, he/she can choose one.
-posibilty to burn .iso after ripping. the best is, if it finished with creating iso, that it is asking you, if it should burn the iso. if no interaction for example 30secs then it should give the finish message.
-also burning option for ripped music cd`s.
-for people with displays in their htpc`s: while ripping show a message in the vfd/lcd-display like: ripping in progress or something. not so important, but it would look nice for people with displays

update5: progress bar for dvd ripping is already implementet!. couldn t see it becouse i wasn t useing mediaportal allways on top option! so this is no longer a features request.
