great plugin!!

Is there also a patched Core.dll and WindowPlugins.dll (for better handling of iso files / coverart / stacking etc...) compiled from 1.0 RC3 ?

the problem i still have with mediaslayer is that after its finsihed with rpipping dvd and you see the finish message, that after press ok to close the finsih message: every time mediaportal ist crashing!

i have verified that with the version 10c and 10e of this plugin and with mediaportal version rc2 and rc3!
after you press ok after the finish-message if ripping dvd was sucesfull, it crahses mediaportal!

its very important that this get fixed!

I am afraid to use them with rc3, because they are about 2 months older than the rc3 release. I guess it would not make my rc3 installation more stable if I use these old dlls...

i use only the 10e.mpi without these core.dll and windowspluginn.dll.
till of crashing after ripping a dvd, it works.

Now there is. Also one improvement for weather.

I asked earlier, but saw no response (not complaining, i know it happens) but what happened to the internal ISO ripper??

It is included and also mentioned in the first post. Please read it through.

I can not reproduce this and without logs nothing can be done. So post logs if you want this to be corrected.

Some notes about other issues:
- The latest DVDFab 5.1.0.0 was working OK in here when you had a problem with it. So can you try it again but this time select english as language.
- If movie info is not found plugin will freeze. This is partly true but hitting esc or back should start ripping. Problem is virtual keyboard and have info request for devs ongoing - no responses yet.

with DVDFab 5.1.0.0 you see only the analycing scrren with a repaeting circe while fab is running in the background ripping the dvd. you don t see the progress bar from mediaslayer.
only with version 4 of fab this was working correctly 4 me.
crash after finish ripping is still happen.
can provide logs next time if i find the time.

Ok, a few things.

Because of the issues I was having trying to rip, I decided to uninstall MP and start from scratch COMPLETELY. WOW!! After uninstalling, blowing away all directories that were left behind, I re-installed MP, monochrome, shoutcast, and media slaer.

Went through the entire configuration again for MP. I went to configure media slayer so I could choose the internal ISO ripper, but it still wasn't there. (now here comes the hint for all) So I went back and read some more stuff. I learned it was not there. That option ONLY shows up in the advanced gui mode. I wish it was not there because I don't want my 6 and 8 year old to have access to that stuff. It was fine having it in the settings under media portal configuration. Set it once and be done with it.

Also, on this fresh install, I still can't rip!!! I put in a DVD, it brings up the question asking if I want to change the name, and I say yes. No virtual keyboard shows up, and the only way I can get out of the thing is to do a hard reset of the box. I am still looking through the logs. I am getting a TON of directx errors in my log file. I want to eliminate those before I post any logs about this. Fixing Directx may fix my issues.

But could we move the internal\external ripper choice back to settings. have it both places if possible. I just don't like my kids having access to the advanced gui. they mess up enough stuff as it is.

I just dont want the iso file. Just the files.

I hope that this time all is good again. Virtual keyboard should work now and also internal ISO ripping selection is now visible in setup.

Thanks for the logs but unfortunately it is still a bit mystery why it crashes. In this beta all variables are now initialized and try-catch method used in most of the functions. If it still crashing can you please post also your Mediaportal.xml file. There are all the settings stored. Also you can try to disable free disk space meter from plugin setup as logs are pointing partly to that.

Sorry but no. ISO or avi are the options.

Just like to chime in and say that I love the plugin just for the Virtual Clone Drive support alone! However, I'm in the group where pressing Rip DVD does nothing. Using 1.0e and RC3
