Just like to chime in and say that I love the plugin just for the Virtual Clone Drive support alone! However, I'm in the group where pressing Rip DVD does nothing. Using 1.0e and RC3

RTFM! I didn't initally see that Monochrome was the only supported skin. I just got Monochrome working again on my system and tried out the plugin and found it works nicely. However, I still had problems with the virtual keyboard. Example: Insert DVD, select yes to start ripping, select yes to change the label and MP seems to freeze. If I Alt-Tab back and forth, I can see that the window title on the taskbar says 'Mediaportal - Virtual Keyboard', but MP is stuck with 'Analyzing DVD' and no keyboard. Otherwise, leaving the default label, ripping worked fine even with the target on a network location. I'm using MP RC4 and Mediaslayer 1.0f.

Have you tried the 1f-beta couple of posts back because I think you are still on 1e - click about button and see version there? 1f-beta has vk corrected + some other minor things.

I've been waiting some feedback about that beta but none received and thus it is not officially released. It would be nice to know that it is working as should.

Yep, definately the 1.0f beta and the virutal keyboard doesn't appear if I want to change to filename (volume label?), but does come up correctly if it can't find a hit in imdb. I can then type in a better name and get imdb, but I like to rename the .iso with a cleaner name than what dvdfab does.

You've got a willing beta tester here for this plugin. Keep up the good work on it:D

    Here is what I found:

    1. Internal .iso ripper is not a setting in the MP config. Only from advnaced menu from within MP. Needs to be a setting in MP config so non-tech people can't change settings for media slayer a screw up what I want the settings to be on my system.

    2. the ripping of non-comercial movies is problematic. you have to jump through several hoops to get to where you attempt to rip one. Like home movies and things like that. It would be a ice option to be able to specify that this is a non-imdb lookup movie after re-naming the movie with the virtual keyboard. Or before the virtual keyboard. just some way to enter the name and go directly to rip somehow.

    3. movies don't rip. this is on the internal .iso ripper. I go through the motions of naming the movie pulling IMDB info and it gets to the "rip" screen with the progres bars. and that is it. Nothing else happens. it never starts ripping the movie. I tried a couple of different movies, both with anydvd running and without and had the same results every time. so I know anydvd is not the issue. I can it the cancel button and it stops. It is not locked up, but is not ripping.

Thanks for all the hard work.

I'm totally confused now if the vk works later on the code but not in the beginning. Have to check it once more.

    1. Not in the DVD sheet? Then it is wrong version you are using.

    2. That is why there is adv. gui and button for that.

    3. M$ IMAPIv2 is needed. There is correction for XP SP3 users Description of the Image Mastering API v2.0 (IMAPIv2.0) update package that is dated June 26, 2007

Can you explain how this enables VCD support for mounting .isos? Where do you set configure MP to use VCD? Do you point the main MP configuration (where it asks for Daemon Tools) to the VCDmount.exe? Or is there some other setting in the Mediaslayer plug-in config?
