Skin glitches

Hi all, just started using mediastream and having a small issue with MP tvseries
First off i dont think the home screen is this bland is it? i've tried associating images with each item in the settings but no joy:



2nd issue: when i press down (from above screen) and land on TV Series it disappears! any ideas?

The association with items on the home screen is done through the mediastream process plugin. Select a module and select a jpg to associate the module with.

As far as text disappearing, i noticed this as well. if you reduce the number of characters used the text wont disappear when doing a roll over. This is perhaps because you are not running the skin at the resolution that it was designed for. This might also be attributing to the images not being displayed.

Could you test this please? I can't get small icons to work...nothing shows up in the screen

I don't see it working.
Was working OK with BLUE3.
But with MediaStream I only get an almost black screen (see Hardcopy), even I have subscribed to about 10 Podcast
Do I do something wrong here ?

Random backdrops in main menu?

Let me start with: Thank you for the beautiful skin, I've just been using it and it seems really stable and quite easy to configure.

I was wondering: is their a way to have multiple backdrop images for each main menu section? I read something about changing the myhome.xml with "multiimage" but then I only get the images in the specified folder for all menu section. I would like to have movie backdrops when I'm selecting movies, and music backdrops when I'm selecting music etc.

Is there an easy way to do that? Or do I need to be patient?

Well, look at how the Aeon wide skin "basic home" is done. That skin has the "multiimage" feature you're looking for. A tip is looking at the media folder set up of that skin also and then, I guess you have to do it your self I'm afraid..

It shouldn't be too hard if you've done some simple xml editing.

edit: 2nd thought, the bg images on the home menu is controlled by the mediastream process plugin so theres no chance of editing the myhome.xml. There's always an other way to go and that is to create a whole new "basic home". But that's a big job.

I got this Problem with the Series Plugin. The Full name "MP-TVSeries" is displayed but i cant find where i can make this name shorter.

MediaStream has its own config applet in the configuration screen, there you can assign images to menu items, sort them, rename them, add them ... If you want to add extra images, place them in the media folder and edit MediaStream.xml in ProgramData (Vista) or Application Data (XP, but I'm not sure about this one since I don't use XP).
