Oh... I would not call it a mod because what I do is really simple:

First of all, delete all "hover_XXX.png"-files in the BlueTwo\Media folder
Then copy all "hover_XXX.png" and "hover_XXX.xml"-files from the MePo skin folder to your BlueTwo\Media folder;
....

Thanks for the pointer. This MePo character kind of grows on you. I did it to three skins, all widescreen (since this is what I use.)

The skins are Foofaraw, BlackMyst wide and BlackMyst Blue wide. All three are in the archive linked here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=C11150AH

I have linked the Status icon to Play DVD, since it didn't have one, and linked the My TV animation to replace the static icon of My TV Series.

Hopefully this is OK with the original authors of the skins, if not, let me know and I'll remove the link.

Yep, that's what I've been using. But MePo really does make it friendlier and fun, without going too far.

It just puts a smile on my face and makes me want to keep navigating

Even if you don't have time for a full-blown skin, it'd be grand if you keep the MePo animations going. Like bringing to life My TV Series, My Films, blowtorch MePo, the Play DVD menu, etc..

Then we can just grab a set of MePos and let them live in whatever new worlds spring up in Media Portal. MePo seems happy exploring

Hang on, How do I change the background now? Things have changed and I don't know where the BG art is defined..

Just had a quick look. I think you can define an individual background in the xml as usual, or for a common background, just define it in the references.xml file.
