after installing RC1 I get this message after starting the TV-Server Config.
What can I do? I have installed all windows-updates and all the other stuff that is required.
MS, in all their wisdom, created the patch only for Win MCE. This means it works well for their own application.
For some reason they still haven't made the patch available for XP, which means it screws up every one elses applications. You can install the fix with a workaround, but if you upgrade to XP SP3 it removes the update and you have to re-install.
Even though they have known about the bug and had a solution for years, tehy don't seem to want to apply it on XP.
Super!!!..So that's my problem: the DVB-Hotfix.
Indeed, I installed SP3 for windows xp and had the "Microsoft SI/PSI Parser outdated"-message. And I am 100% sure that I installed the hotfix before!

Ok - So I did a fresh install - All updates, XP SP3, installed MP RC1 w/ TV SERVER, and I get the nice message about the SI/PSI outdated. I try applying patch I used pre-sp3 and i get the message "Setup has detected that the Service Pack version of this system is newer than the update you are applying. There is no need to install this update" - Click OK.. So I still get the message..
Oh and as far as the WIKI page that comes up - I get an empty wiki page - with "This page does not exist yet. You can create a new empty page, or use one of the page templates." on it.. Am I missing something on that page?
I've tried searching "DVB-hotfix", "DVB Hotfix", etc - without luck - What am I missing here?
I've done a few MP1 installs in the past and haven't had a problem, so I didn't expect one today. I just purchased a mini PC with Win11 installed. I downloaded and tried installing Mediaportal 1. I chose single click standard installation with no TV. It started working on things and I wasn't paying terribly close attention, but...

Yes correct that would have solved it. I guess I was more interested in finding out what I had done to cause the problem as the error message was of no help.
By deleting everything I wouldn't have known so it was a learning curve for future reference.
Fully understood I thought that might be the case.
I also had some issues with...

The problem with MP 1.32 was that the TV Server component was still 32-bit, even when you installed the 64-bit version of the MP client. MP 1.33 will have 32-bit and 64-bit versions of both the MP client and TV Server.
My understanding is that it will not be possible to perform an upgrade install from a 64-bit client + 32-bit TV...

No MP2 in APPs (the Win 11 version of Programs)
There was an empty MP2-Server folder under Team Media Portal in PF X86. The net 4 version, as I indicated, is the one I installed. Or tried to.
For completeness, I deleted the (empty) folder & the Team Media Portal folder (otherwise empty), and...
