If you have icons its an LCD. If you only have text it's a VFD.
Check all your basic settings too. LCD is just one line of text.

Here are my settings in mediaportal. I made a log with debug option 1 and started mediaportal. Waited a bit and then closed mediaportal.

I have a imon LCD.

Does it work better if you set Rows to '1'?

Makes no difference, display remains black. Maybe I have to change something in imon settings?

Did you check the advanced settings? You could try auto scroll too.
Which hardware have you got? What's the brand and model? There are many kinds of iMON LCD.

hello, try to make Imon working. if i remember fine, you must select automode on systemtray (imon icon) with right click.

Maybe I should use an older Imon version. But the download links are broken on the soundgraph forum. Only the last version can be downloaded.
