Anybody can help to find out what piece of hardware is hwinterfacex64.sys responsible for? I am trying to get rid of the error message in my W7-64 event log.

Iam using windows vista 64bit and it wants to hawe the file hwinterfacex64.sys digitally signed.
Vista givs an error in Event Viewer on startup "The hwinterfacex64 service failed to start due to the following error:
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file."
Is the file for the Mini Display Plugin, what is it for and were can i get the signed file ?

NMedia PRO-LCD doesn't seem to be listed unless somebody can confirm otherwise. I am using http://www.matrixorbital.com/GX-Series-GX-Typhoon/c40_17/index.html

Dev Belcom is starting a rewrite of Minidisplay so "drivers" can be easily reused for MP2 + additional hardware will be easy to be added.

OFC he is also adding the SoundGraph API for VFD/LCD and also for IRSS(remote).

Just want to say a big thanks to you guys for this - I had given up all hope of being able to use the VFD that came with my msi media live again (the official MSI driver conflicted with my nvidia nforce drivers and kept causing the storage driver to crash).
The driver you wrote works great and displays much more information in mediaportal than the MSI one used too under MCE (EPG data and movie length)

well shoot.... looks like I bought a display that MP does not work with. Teach me to do my research first =(

BTW, I bought the nMediaPC 8000 case and the nMediaPC Pro-LCD (the barebone one.. not one that comes with 5.25 bay)

I wonder if any of the supported ones will fit in my case....

pretty much.... after you use the drivers provided by manufacturer, run windows update and get the ones from MS..... then it all works =)
