I got the same error when I installed MP from scratch on a PC that never had it installed before. I also think I chose 'custom' during the install.
It appears the problem was that the Titan Extended part didn't install, causing this error. To fix it, I found the titan extended thread in here and installed it, then the patch. After that there were no more errors.

    I had same problem
The installer and mpe installer both downloaded corrupt copies of extended, I had to download it from the website for it to work

I installed mp 1.3 and I'm sure to have flagged the titan extended package. Same error. I re-installed extended package again and all works fine.

maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck? Preferable with as much disabled as possible also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything) maybe other programs competing for resouces?

I have recently installed MediaPortal 1.37 (x64) and MP-TVSeries v4.5.1.697 and unfortunately the TV episode runtime duration is missing in my Titan skin. This only applies to my .TS files, my .MKV files are OK. I believe the difference is likely to be because .MKV files embed the runtime in the file unlike .TS files. I have done...

4.5 is really old. I'm not sure 4.5.5 even is a version that actually existed. You should be able to install .NET Framework 4.8.0 on Windows 7 SP1
