ESPECIALLY if it showed how to modify the homepage when using basic homepage. I LOVE the view of the basic homepage but I want MyFilms listed on there and maybe remove some other things.

Is there a guide or thread that talks about how to do this? please say yes!

No theres no guide, and it would have to be skin specific for most people to be able to benefit from it.

If I get the time I could put some general stuff down in a post one day.

I've noticed that it's somewhat hard for me to tell which episodes have been watched and which haven't in TV-Series and I'm having a hard time finding where to change that in the tvseries skin file. Can anyone guide me towards the correct element to edit for that?

Search for "<!-- watched color -->"

It will appear a few times, its the last (bottom most one) that you need to change. I found the naming scheme very confusing and needed to use trial n error to figure out which was actually the watched colour.

Note: remember to delete the cache folder before restarting Media Portal.

You have to delete the cache..

its located in: "program files\team mediaportal\mediaportal\cache\" if you use xp
in vista its located under "programdata\team mediaportal\mediaportal\cache\".

Can you provide this here or making for my plugin 3 icons... 1 for Blu-Ray, 1 for HD-DVD and one for Blue-Ray and HD-DVD?

I read them over the weekend and gave it a shot. Im pretty technically challenged so Im struggling.

Ideally a simple guide that explains how to customize what icons/links are on each menu (or at least the main menu) would be fantastic. All I want to do is be able to choose which icons show up on my main menu.

I dont use MP for TV and I only use the MyFilms plugin. I have no need to mess with settings or anything from inside MP. Id like a simple, wife/kid proof main menu with just the following links

Movies (directly to myfilms), Photos (internal photo folder), Music (internal music folder), Weather, Internet (internet explorer link).

Thats all I need.
