@ajs you should read that you post i have seen all that links already, and

1. new OS detection already knows N version
2. detection of K version on this key is unreliable because you can enable WebLinks and thus this detection won't work.
3. mm asked about MFP detection, not about N/K detection

@mm1352000 no, i can uninstall WMP or even MediaFeatures from W10 and this won't convert it to W10 N

Small error here on XP:

can you check the registry value "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto Update\Results\Install\LastSuccessTime" for your OS?

If you use Delphi it is, maybe it's a wrapper over:
RegOpenKeyEx with KEY_WOW64_64KEY Do not know how in C#.
