Re: NEW: Moving Pictures 1.0 Beta 3 Available

If i delete all thumbs will MP re-download/create them? or will it just get confused? :D

Absolutely. Just delete the images you don't want and Moving Pictures will download replacements in the background the next time you restart the plugin.

Excellent - renamed the old MovingPictures folder in thumbs and now its chugging away donwloading new covers/backdrops - and much smaller too - no more 1.2GB thumbs folder! :D

    Thanks fforde

    Possible parse bug -

I tried to import "The League of Gentlemen (1960).mp4". This matched to " "The League of Gentlemen" (1999) " and not the exact match of "The League of Gentlemen (1960)"

Thanks for the feedback guys but please see my above post on how to report a bug. You need to first search our bug tracker. If you find the issue is already logged, if you have new information to add, post it there. If the issue is not logged, create a new issue. If you post bug reports here it is extremely difficult for us to keep track of things.

Re: NEW: Moving Pictures 1.0 Beta 3 Available

Lots of users are talking about deleting their moving pics database/thumbs folder and rescraping all their movies. They do this so that the movie covers are not too large in size, so take up less room on the HDD and they also have faster scrolling.

What will happen if I use this program https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...der-71649/?highlight=app+copy+moving+pictures
Which creates folder.jpg (cover) backdrop.jpg and info.nfo in each movie folder before deleting the database/thumbs folder.

When I reimport the movies, will i still end up with the problem of large moving pictures thumbs directory?
I assume yes, because it will re-use the folder.jpg without converting them to a lower resolution?
or does the importer even when scraping from local folder.jpg file convert to a lower resolution?

Have you thought about a button for users upgrading to V1.0 beta3. This button goes thru the thumbs folder and changes the filesize / format for the user.

EDIT: All questions answered below, thanks

For the users not starting out with beta3, they could use: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...age-size-thumbs-folder-movpic-tvseries-75750/

I've already adjusted the FAQ article on this new usage, but haven't gotten around to adjusting the script thread itself yet, but the result is the same.

issue 686 is still present for me but, as it was openned with blu-ray isos and I use genuine blu-rays, should I open a new issue?

Re: NEW: Moving Pictures 1.0 Beta 3 Available

I just installed beta 3, and now all of my custom posters are gone (links seem to be bad). I have lots of movies that need custom covers, so I've added these manually. I really appreciate that small file size matters, but is it really necessary to remove locally linked artwork as well, added by the user? I have 20 minutes of editing ahead of me now. :( Please tell me this won't happen in future updates as well?

Edit: Nevermind, it seems to be a thing in process.
