I just installed beta 3, and now all of my custom posters are gone (links seem to be bad). I have lots of movies that need custom covers, so I've added these manually. I really appreciate that small file size matters, but is it really necessary to remove locally linked artwork as well, added by the user? I have 20 minutes of editing ahead of me now. Please tell me this won't happen in future updates as well?

NOTE: Because of a MediaPortal issue with graphics caching, on initial launch Moving Pictures will convert in the background any existing cover art and backdrops in the PNG file format to JPG. This can take a little bit of time and artwork for movies not yet processed will not display. Please be patient. After leaving the program open for a few minutes, all artwork should be processed and all artwork will display as normal.

Well, now the picture download has finished, and I'm sorry, but all my custom covers are ignored, and the scraper has simply downloaded new covers for all of those movies. Luckily I have all my covers stored safely, but I still have to manually switch out all those covers.

I am very sorry to hear about your troubles Emphatic. Do you perhaps have the local data provider for covers disabled? For all standard configurations this should be enabled and in the first position in the provider list. I would expect the kind of behavior you are experiencing if the local provider were disabled or ranked lower than an online data source.

If this provider is disabled or lower in priority, reverting your previous version, re-enabling the local provider, then again upgrading may resolve this for you without the need for any manual labor.

Just an FYI. The links for 1.0 Beta 3 all point to a file named moving-pictures-1.0.2-setup.exe and the readme contained in the file talks about 1.0.2. The Config program shows the version ending in 1048.

Dunno if all that means that it's Beta 3, but to the layman it looks like Beta 2.

Dunno if all that means that it's Beta 3, but to the layman it looks like Beta 2.

The version numbering is just a little wonky. Moving Pictures 1.0.0 = Beta 1. Moving Pictures 1.0.1 = Beta 2, and Moving Pictures 1.0.2 = Beta 3. Sorry for the confusion but you have the right version.

I got a question!
I update my moving pictures to beta3. Since than i cant play any movie.
When i go into MP, than select moving pictures -> i see all of my films. I can click also on the movie and get details, but if i wanna start the movie with enter,
it doesnt work. I can go back, select other movies but cant play any movie.

Just installed 1.0.3 on the newest public svn of MediaPortal.
Had 1.0.2 installed with the same issue.
I have large collection on my network server and when I start playing a video og tv series Moving Pictures seems to scan all my sources before playing the file. This takes 5 - 10 minutes. Can I prevent this ?
