Please check your plugin\windows directory. Most likely you have an old version of Moving Pictures in there along side the new version. For example maybe you renamed the old DLL to movingpictures.old.dll? This would cause the issue you are seeing.

And FYI guys we have already identified an issues with the rating dialog in the GUI. We will have a fix out this evening to correct this, so anyone considering grabbing the new version may want to wait 10 hours or so.

It should be much faster than the original Beta, but it should be about the same as Beta 3. Glad to hear it's working well for you though. ^^

    Hi

I tried to do what I've written.
I renamed the old file MovingPictures.dll.old, and I reinstalled the plugin, but the error remains the same.

I noticed, the file MovingPictures.dll.old version 1.0.2.1048 is 1.36 Mb.
    MovingPictures.dll file version 1.0.3.1066 is 856 Kb,
is normal that they are so different in size or have an installation problem?

    Thx

You should not have renamed the old file, both are being loaded into memory now. Delete the old version. And yes the file sizes are correct, we split off some functionality into stand alone DLLs so other plugins can reuse some of our work.

Honestly if you just run the installer like normal everything would be fine. There is no reason to backup old DLLs you can just grab them from our website if you really want them.

ok I deleted the file of the old version, but the problem remains, when I start the configuration blocks the screen image as the post above.

    I do not know why

    Hi fforde,
Is the version on page 1, under "Download" already the fixed one ?

And having 1.0.2 installed can I install the new version over that, or have I first to uninstall 1..0.2 ?

You still have to be patient more for the new build that solves the DLL location problem. As you can see on:

the current RC is 48 hours old, but you can install that version and move the right DLL files (as suggested by fforde) manually into the plugins/Windows subfolder. And no uninstall it required, you install it ontop of the existing one and the plugin will take care of any upgrade process required automatic (such as the thumbs folder reduction, which can cause a serious delay the first time, so be sure to read the *entire* install instructions, so you don't get any supprises).

The same works for anybody still using v0.7.5 stable, though as you can see by all the small problems still lingering, it is not called a beta for nothing. It is from feedback from everybody trying out these betas that the developers eventually feel comfortable in calling it 'stable'. Building something 100% problem free is a utopia that will never happen, but we can at least all assist in make it 99.9% :D
